I live in NYC half the year and AVL the other. Neither is the place where I’d most like to live (Antigua, Guatemala). Most of what I hear said about either one is inaccurate.

Many folks are the left are brainwashed too. Many people on this very board thought Biden was perfectly fine up until the debate. Because their news wouldn’t report how obviously unfit he was.

I think we collectively have no idea exactly what’s going on in western NC right now. Why would you automatically assume your chosen news is reporting the truth and the other side is reporting lies?

That is a constantly evolving situation where many people still haven’t been found and can’t communicate.

Reminds me of when liberal news media tried to portray anyone who thought COVID came from a lab leak was a conspiracy theorist. Or that anyone who believed Hunter Biden’s laptop was significant was a conspiracy theorist. Or that anyone who believed Biden was senile was a conspiracy theorist.

At least let the tragedy play out a little more before you get egg on your face, again….sometimes it’s okay to say “we don’t know yet”
 
Better question is does anybody really like Trump, or are you just so desperate for something to pull for that you latched onto the idea that the Apprentice was real so that you could fill the void in your life and try to own those smarter kids in school after all these years?

Yes and these are the same people who are willing to vote against their own better interest.

Like the maga lady I saw interviewed who lost her and her husbands health insurance under ACA because of some change that trump put in place. YET, when asked she said she would still vote trump, even though her husband's medical bills were going to bankrupt them.

Which side actually put out lies for political gain when discussing the situation in western NC?

I'm pretty sure it's lying JD and lying trump spreading the lies for political gain.

I agree STFU and help these people, don't start lying about how FEMA funds are spent, especially when trump used FEMA funds for his war on the border.

As far as the source of COVID, at that time it wasn't important. What was important was a vaccine, which many pubs were against.

There's still basically nothing from hunter's laptop, if it were so damming, why hasn't Biden been indicted?

i judged a fishing tournament last friday and there was a guy on one of the teams in my area who had a sidearm on his hip the entire time....while surf fishing out on the relatively deserted outer banks beaches in October. my friend/client who rode with me and helped me judge said he wears it 24/7.

so many of these people are just completely unhinged.

During Covid (April ‘20 to August ‘20), I was waiting outside the Left Bank Butchery in SAXAPAHAW for my turn (small place, they let 2 customers at a time come in pre-vaccines).

Four of us were outside waiting. I was next.

Up walks this fat guy and his less than svelte family…..right for the door……ignoring the 4 of us lined up on the sidewalk.

As he reached for the door, I said, “There’s a line waiting to go in. Four of us.”

His response, “I don’t put up with this Covid BS.”

Me: “Well, the 4 of us ahead of you do “put up with this COVID BS. The line is down there.”

The fat phuck was open-carrying……..in the crime-ridden village of SAXAPAHAW at 3:00 pm on a Sunday.

I so loved the owner that day…..he saw the guy cut the line….sent him right back out. The Karen was yelling that he’d never come back.

I started my LLM in Health Law just before covid hit -which was a combined degree for both lawyers and non-lawyers who were getting a Masters in Health Policyv- of course covid hit and when it did all my classes went virtual. This online shit is where I met my (thankfully) ex-gf who is/was a cardiatric nurse for a very large Chicago hospital system. She was SOOO convinced that Chicago is unsafe she wouldn't go further than O'Hare otherwise she, a fair-haired maiden of the west, was certain to be kidnapped, raped, and ultimately murdered (or sold into sex slavery - at the young age of 43) by roaming gangs of black or brown folk because that's what she read on some right-wing BS website. I actually laughed because I didn't think anyone would be that dumb...nope she was serious. She also believed covid was a farce and/or that it was man-made and all sorts of shit that only Q-anon morons believe.

Needless to say the relationship didn't last
