The team did fight. It’s just sad as we had that effort and still lost by 13. We are just an average team that had opportunities this season but could never capitalize. We our name is not called in 8 days for the NCAA Tournament there really shouldn’t be people questioning it, we flat out don’t deserve it. Hubert should be coaching for his job next season.

I definitely think he will be on the hot seat next year if we don't make the NCAA tournament.

I didn't walk away thinking we lost by 13 because we were average.

I walked away thinking, jeez, dook is just incredibly good this year.

Sure, average by the numbers. But it’s one of those average teams on paper that nobody, nobody would want to draw in the tourney if they do somehow get in.

Well, that wasn't the result we were hoping for. I thought us winning the game was a long shot, but I really hoped we could keep it fairly close.

We didn't start terribly well, but we certainly came back in the middle...and then it really turned at the end.

The team certainly gave it their best shot and I'm not sure how upset we can be with a loss to a team with the ability of dook this year.

I hope we can somehow pull it out to make the tourney, but I can't say I'm hopeful at this point.

Hubert's whole offense is 1 on 1 with shots off the dribble. No ball movement at all. No movement without the ball. And he took the Heels out of the game with bad subbing in the second half when Heels had the momemtum.
Agree 100X. Shot selection, ball movement, player movement and board coverage are things of the past

I am in my 40s and grew up in this state and loving this team. I never would have expected what we’ve become. The sad thing is we seem ok with it.

I'm in my 70s, grew up in this state, and more obviously attuned to how much you take a very special period as a birthright. The sad thing is that you have no recognition or tolerance for the disruption in the entire sport or our particular program.

It’s clear we’ve had the worst 6 year stretch in 60 years.

Most teams losing several players every year is something I am trying hard to adjust to...
It’s not just losing players, it’s having guys for a single season. The other day I was trying to remember the starters from last year. It took me like 5 minutes to come up with Cormac Ryan. I really miss getting to watch the players develop over 3-4 years.

Remember when you could name the hometown of just about every player for decades Because you would hear Woody say it every game for years

If so, so what? Are you a fan of the program or of the ego boost from being affiliated with a successful program? I was a fan of the program those 60 years ago and a fan when Gut ran the program into the ground and one until I die.

I don't know that Davis will work out. I'm not personally that great a fan. I do know that, under the current circumstances, that I think he's the best chance of maintaining the sort of Carolina program and tradition that we've had. That matters to me at least as much as our record over the last 3 or 4 years.

Come on now. Gut did not run the program into the ground.

So what? Hard to answer that. The goal is to win. If they don’t win and trend to not being a good program, will Earth fall apart? No. My point is simple. The program has had the worst six year stretch in 60 years. If you step back and say - look, it’s sports so who cares? Then it’s impossible to combat that but I thought this was a sports conversation.
