Because Trump was elected, more than on any other single thing, on the perception, which Trump propagated endlessly, that Biden caused inflation and Trump would make prices cheaper. And now, not even three weeks in, we already see (1) prices rising, and (2) Trump himself essentially admitting that Biden did not cause inflation. So call it getting played. Call it being a gullible dumbass. Call it whatever you want. But don't feel bad -- tens of millions of other Americans are in the same boat.

Do you think I voted for trump because I thought he would bring down the cost of eggs on day 1, or day 30, or day 100? Overall, from a macro level, I'm quite happy with most of what has transpired so far. Not necessarily with the method, but the ideology. I voted for border security. I'm getting it. I voted for strengthening the military. I'm getting it. I voted to purge dei from the g'ment and as much of society as possible. I'm getting it. I voted for reducing the size of the fed g'ment. It's under way. I voted for a stronger foreign policy. I'm getting it. Not pleased with everything but overall I'm quite happy.

Did you vote for intelligent reduction of the fed government, or the "let's make all our best people quit for no reason and with no plan" approach Musk used to destroy twitter? It's worth remembering that when twitter features broke, Musk didn't fix them -- he just let the functionality die. Is that what you want? Things to break and then not get fixed because Elon is Stupid Joker?

Also, what do you have to say about the plan to completely replace our ATC system? Keep in mind that SpaceX has lost many rockets, and also Tesla has one of the worst product quality records in the industry. Is Elon and his incel teenaged losers really the person you want doing this?

1. Inflation was a huge issue for most trump voters. trump said he would bring down prices on day 1. You knew he was lying and you were good with that. Many of his voters trusted him and have been betrayed.

2. How is the military stronger with Hesgeth than with Austin, Milley, and Fagan?

3. How is foreign policy stronger without your allies? That's like saying your house is better protected because you pissed off everyone in your neighborhood watch.

4. The border is less secure today than it would have been if trump didn't kill the strongest bipartisan immigration reform in decades.

Just can't be serious can you. Lets compare things 6 months from now. A year from now. Its extremely weak for you to throw out comparisons 19 days in and say see, told you so is just bullshit. Yes, Trump is doing something. Is that the standard? You're OK with him raping the country and hundreds of millions of citizens because it's more energetic than not raping?

Here's what's extremely weak: that he's fucked up so much in only 19 days. The trend is not your friend. The comparisons are only going to get worse.

Consumer confidence plummeted this month. Inflation expectations increased (probably the single most important driver of inflation). The job market cooled off significantly and we are close to negative job growth, because business investment has dried up due to uncertainty. Laying off federal workers en masse is a form of contractionary economic policy that will almost certainly cause higher unemployment and could cause negative growth.

Where do you think this is headed?

Interest rates are considerably higher since election day. Inflation is up. Job growth is down and falling. And it's ALL because of the economic uncertainty Trump creates. Nobody wants to build anything in America right now because what's the market? Will exporting from America be a thing in nine months? Who the fuck knows. Will America be in a recession? Who the fuck knows -- but note, the drying up of business investment is exactly the sort of thing that creates recessions.

Where do you think this is headed?

Trump has done more damage to the economy in 19 days than any president has done ever. Probably more damage than the first 19 days of all post-war presidents combined.

I sincerely look forward to it, but for the condition the country will be in. I suspect even you'll be calling this shitshow a catastrophe by then. Or you'll just be gone.

So 19 days in you want me to show you how trump completely reversed jill's 4 years as president? i'm quite happy if the changes put in place and new cabinet in place takes a little longer than 19 days.

I never expected prices to come down on day 1 just like i didn't expect the war in ukraine to end before he took office or on day 1. Policy changes take time.

The military is stronger with renewed accountability and expunging dei from its ranks. And it will continue to get stronger week by week as infrastructure is improved, recruiting returns to desired levels, and the focus is put on war fighting, not filling quotas and wasting time in dei training.

This is true liberal emotional overreaction in its purist form. Exactly which allies have we lost? Which ones joined russia, china, iran, and n korea. If world war III broke out tomorrow, which ones are going to fight against us. lol at losing allies. We sure did get canada, mexico, panama, and denmark to jump though didn't we? Not surprising the left had no concern about china's growing influence in central america and apparently the left would rather continue to be dependent on china for the rare earth minerals we need. Sure don't want to be rude to denmark about greenland in order to better wean the country off china's tit though because they might not be our ally in the next war or refuse to trade with us anymore. I guess you noticed trump's comments to hamas before taking office and all of a sudden a cease fire deal materializes after feckless jill had been trying for 2 damn years. Yea, i'd say our foreign policy light years ahead of where jill had it, inspite our being rude.

Nobody but a biden homer would believe that sorry piece of legislation would have made the border more secure then than now. Now mexico has put 10,000 troops on the border, canada has beefed up border security, we have the military helping border patrol and what is the result? no caravans on the way and illegal border crossings down 90%. At least discuss in good faith.

Other than the method elon is using, trumps diarrhea of the mouth on gaza, blanket pardons, and rfk jr / vought I'm getting what I voted for. 19 days in, small price to pay for the wins that have happened and those that are on the way.
