Trump is headed out to do a series of rallies, supposedly to focus on domestic economic matters. Seems like a weird time of year to do this … at this point, purely politically (in terms of what people are paying attention to), why not wait until after the New Year?

Trump's an idiot. All he had to do was NOTHING and he would have taken all the credit. The economy was on track. Tariffs, the inflationary BBB, uncertainty in science investment/funding by Trump admin. has stifled growth and hiring/jobs. Especially for those entering the job market with skills in science and biomedical areas.

I know you have heard from me before, but I promise you I really am this stupid - please one of you economic geniuses explain to me how the economic policy of reducing your sales by 25% is somehow good. I hope one day i will be smart enough to function in this modern American world.

Also this is good for the AMerican economy somehow? Right?

The EU has moved to scale up its historically depleted defense industry amid growing warnings by countries like Germany that Russia could attack Europe by the end of the decade.

Brussels has unveiled strategies in several legal proposals seeking to encourage local industry. Those efforts include the new €150 billion loans-for-arms SAFE program, but third countries like the U.S. can only supply a maximum of 35 percent of the value of weapons systems.

Landau's broadside is the latest in a long list of blows by the current U.S. administration to its historic partners, which includes pressuring the EU into accepting a humiliating trade deal to stave off tariffs.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly slammed the bloc for treating the U.S. unfairly — while the EU has said Washington's demands on trade were tantamount to blackmail.

We would need someone from the MAGA brain trust to explain it to us since they are the ones who voted for it.

Trump voters - explain how this is good, as well. Looks bad to me but that’s why I didn’t vote for Trump.
Those of you who did vote for Trump - explain please why you think this is good for our economy.

(A lack of response will be taken to mean, “I know it is very bad but I didn’t think he would do any of the things he campaigned on.”)

I literally can't remember the last time Ramrouser, Pandemic, Callatoroy, etc. offered a principled defense of Trump's economic policies. Maybe last February? They know Trump is an economic terrorist. They'll never say it here, but they know.
