Joe Biden Reaction GIF

Recycling Biden’s responses on the economy is a bold plan for the GOP.

I get it to some extent — the statistics tell a different story from the vibes. But Americans are clearly far more focused on the expense side of their ledgers, and frustrated that their increasing income doesn’t buy anymore than their lower income did in 2019. And in the case of some key items, particularly housing and healthcare, may buy quite a bit less depending on your income bracket. The GOP now and Biden/Dems before them are failing to analyze the data by strata and by comparison to key purchasing power (housing, healthcare, daycare, food, gas, energy, interest on credit cards and mortgages) items rather than across the board.

People aren’t going to celebrate dropping gas prices when the savings are hoovered up by rising insurance (home and healthcare), home energy, rent and interest costs. They see an increase in income and feel farther behind even if they are merely breaking even or slightly ahead. How could that big raise mean nothing?

US job openings rise slightly after surging in September; fewer workers quitting their jobs

“… Job openings, a measure of labor demand, were up 12,000 to 7.670 million by the last day of October, the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics said.

… Vacancies soared 431,000, the most in nearly a year, to 7.658 million in September. The BLS said it had "temporarily suspended use of the monthly alignment methodology for October preliminary estimates," adding that "use of this methodology will resume with the publication of October final estimates."

The bulk of the job openings in October were in the trade, transportation and utilities sector, with 239,000 vacancies, mostly at retailers. There were 114,000 fewer open positions in the professional and business services industry. Job openings in the accommodation and food services sector fell 33,000. The federal government had 25,000 fewer vacancies….”

Trump voters - can just one of you be honest and admit Trump’s economic policies are insane and hurting our country?

Callatoroy, Heel2012 (or whatever his name is), and the Yosef guys are all too chickenshit to show up here any longer. But their absences tell us that they know they made a huge mistake voting for this clown.
Anyone left here want to redeem themselves? Bueller?

I agree they're too chickenshit to show up, but they don't think they made a mistake. They would say "accounts are up". Or they would say the people they voted for lied. Or they would say it's Biden's fault. Or they would say destroying the economy was worth it because they got to shit on minorities.

They are.
Republicans, however, don’t care at all.
It has long since been shown that Republicans only care about the budget deficit when we have a Democrat as POTUS. When one of their own is POTUS and spending like a drunken sailor and the deficit explodes they don't give a shit. If we ever do elect a Democrat as POTUS again I'm sure our brave GOP deficit hawks will come out of the woodwork to complain endlessly about "wild" and "wasteful" Democratic spending. It's what they do.
