Personally, I’m fine with Musk fathering a lot of US citizens. Imagine the average IQ of the bunch. Plus, he can afford ‘em.
Elon isn't the genius you think he is. He was an OK student who founded a stupid company that didn't do anything, but was purchased in the dot com mania and gave him seed money. He's been defrauding and conning people ever since.

I suspect there is some truth to this.

Trump, Musk say media trying to drive them apart

President Trump and Elon Musk, one of his top allies, argued that the mainstream media is trying to drive a wedge between them and stymie the president’s agenda.

“That’s true,” Trump responded when Fox News host Sean Hannity told the president that leading outlets such as The New York Times and The Washington Post “threw everything they had at you.”

“They want a divorce,” Hannity said during the joint interview with Trump and Musk, which will air Tuesday evening on Fox. “They want you to start hating each other.”

“Oh, I see it all the time. They tried it, then they stopped. That was — they have many different things, hatred,” Trump agreed.

Musk during the interview mentioned that he “used to be adored by the left,” but after he voiced his support for Trump at a party with friends before the election, it was like he “got shot with a dart in the jugular that contained methamphetamine and rabies.”

Musk called Trump recently, the president said, after seeing news coverage of his efforts to reform the federal government.

DOGE Has ‘God Mode’ Access to Government Data

The president’s special commission now has an unprecedented ability to view and manipulate information at many federal agencies.

"...Among the federal agencies we reported on, USAID is the only one where we could confirm that DOGE has acquired God-mode access across the entire digital system. (The Trump administration has sought to effectively shut down USAID since the inauguration.) But as Musk and his acolytes enter a growing number of federal databases and IT systems, their unfettered access at USAID offers a sense of what they might be able to do elsewhere. At NASA, for example, it could mean access to knowledge about sensitive government technologies used for defense. At the CDC, such ability could expose millions of Americans’ health data and allow DOGE to access labs that store deadly pathogens. At Treasury, such access would allow Musk’s employees to view Americans’ names, Social Security numbers, and financial information. “It is not ridiculous to think they’d have bank-account and routing numbers for every single person in the United States,” the senior USAID source said. “What do you do with this information? I had to ask myself, Do I file my taxes this year or not? I had to sit and debate that.”

The federal government does not typically grant such wide-ranging access to a single entity, let alone one that is effectively under the control of an unelected, erratic, and politically extreme actor such as Musk. The group is working on behalf of Donald Trump, but sources we spoke with emphasized that the level of access DOGE possesses means that the organization may already be able to siphon data that Musk or his agents could hold on to forever, long after his time as a government liaison, or even after a potential falling-out with the president. ..."

X Money Account ... from Google AI summary

"Elon Musk's goal is to make X, formerly Twitter, a financial hub that allows users to handle all of their financial needs without needing a bank account. This would include sending and receiving money, buying and selling securities, and storing money"

Now imagine the value of his having at hand the world's largest and most valuable data bank of personal information. Would include a myriad of details about most every citizen from birth to death. Not only contact data like phone numbers, mailing addresses, email addresses, text addresses; but also, financial information like income, wealth, real estate,,,,. Then there is personal information like family size, children with names and ages.
The list is endless. Proposed use... marketing! And, if that is the intent, you can bet your sweet ass that con man Trump is in on it! And Elonia Musk is expecting a big payout in taxpayer funds...like $400,000,000 in automobile purchases.

“If Musk succeeds, it would be an extraordinary turnaround given that X’s valuation has dropped sharply since the acquisition.”

“But it would be the latest sign that Musk’s closeness to President Trump is enhancing his status with investors.“

Our board Trump voters whined and cried for 4 years that Joe Biden wasn’t actually the president, so now that is equally as obvious that Donald Trump is not actually the president, naturally, they are suddenly completely fine with it. Hey, maybe the hypocrisy is the point!
From my POV, Elon is only digging into spending, fraud, waste, etc. DOGE activities. Everything Elon wants to do is approved by Trump and Trump is hands-on in all other aspects of his job. He's not doing some of them well, i.e. Ukraine/Russia, but that a separate topic.

Subpresident Trump has no control over Musk. Musk is digging into all sorts of things without any limits at all and Trump doesn't know shit about what's happening . Other than that, great post.

Trump has basically turned the government over to Musk and his college-age DOGE hackers while he makes verbal and social media pronouncements, does some press conferences, and plays golf. Which is pretty much what he did in his first term, except that instead of having some competent (if still very conservative) people around him like John Kelly in his first term he's now got true believer loons and Musk running the show.

Musk has been accused of carrying his young son X around on his shoulders as a human shield since the healthcare CEO was assassinated, which is a mean-spirited allegation. But it has been widely reported that he is increasingly paranoid (or reasonably in fear of?) being assassinated. The drug use probably doesn’t help him manage those fears.
