I've seen a handful of those new Tesla trucks around my town, and I'm sorry, but they're just incredibly ugly, imo. I don't know of anyone who likes them, and I can't imagine who would find them attractive enough to fork over a good amount of cash to buy one. I guess 2 or 3 people do based on how many I've seen, but that's about it.
I see this driving around Apex every few weeks. Seems fitting.

I don't follow Musk on Twitter. So how the fuck am I getting push notifications on his posts about politics?
That guys is full of it...and its only going to get worse as the election gets closer.

Hes just a piece of shit human. That's really all that needs to be said about him. I will do my best to never spend a dime with any company affiliated with Elon Musk, no matter the product or the need it fulfills.
And it would be awesome if people stopped posting tweets and just let it die

Elon Musk Shares Manipulated Harris Video, in Seeming Violation of X’s Policies

The billionaire owner of the social media platform X reposted a video that mimics Vice President Kamala Harris’s voice, without disclosing that it had been altered.

“…
The video mimics Ms. Harris’s voice, but instead of using her words from the original ad, it has the vice president saying that President Biden is senile, that she does not “know the first thing about running the country” and that, as a woman and a person of color, she is the “ultimate diversity hire.”

In addition, the clip was edited to remove images of former President Donald J. Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance of Ohio, and to add images of Mr. Biden. The original, unaltered ad, which the Harris campaign released on Thursday, is titled “We Choose Freedom.” …”

Rules and policies do not apply to Elon Musk, especially on Twitter.

The details on the voter info ploy:

"If a voter in Michigan performs a search on Google, a somewhat shocking ad might pop up.

The ad shows a young man lying in bed late at night when someone else texts him, “Hey you need to vote,” and then sends the man a video of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. The man can hear the gunshots and people screaming in the background.

As Trump is rushed off stage with blood pouring down his face, the man watching the video types in response, “This is out of control. How do I start?”

The ad then displays a website for a group called America PAC.

The website says it will help the viewer register to vote. But once a user clicks “Register to Vote,” the experience he or she will have can be very different, depending on where they live.

If a user lives in a state that is not considered competitive in the presidential election, like California or Wyoming for example, they’ll be prompted to enter their email addresses and ZIP code and then directed quickly to a voter registration page for their state, or back to the original sign-up section.

But for users who enter a ZIP code that indicates they live in a battleground state, like Pennsylvania or Georgia, the process is very different.

Rather than be directed to their state’s voter registration page, they instead are directed to a highly detailed personal information form, prompted to enter their address, cellphone number and age.

If they agree to submit all that, the system still does not steer them to a voter registration page. Instead, it shows them a “thank you” page. ..."

"...
The America PAC has spent more than $800,000 since early July on digital ads that target voters in the key battleground states of Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to AdImpact.

The ads appeared on Facebook, Instagram and Google through YouTube, and they all encouraged people to register to vote at America PAC’s website.

The PAC’s effort to collect information from people using the idea of “voter registration” is a critical piece to its plan to make personal contact with these voters.

“America PAC is focusing on door-to-door canvassing in support of Trump,” said Brendan Fischer, a deputy executive director at campaign finance watchdog Documented.

“I think it is safe to assume that the voter data gathered through these digital appeals are going to inform America PAC’s canvassing and other political activities,” he added.

... In most cases, super PACs are not allowed to directly coordinate the ads they pay for with the campaign. But this spring, regulators ruled that door-to-door canvassing falls outside the scope of the ban because, unlike an ad, it is a person-to-person exchange. ..."

must be weird to be th erichest man in the world and still so desperate for someone, anyone to like you

Elon Musk is itching for a fight—or that’s what he says, at least. Even though he keeps ducking Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the Tesla CEO says he’ll accept a challenge from the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. No, you’re not having a fever dream.

Venezuela is in the middle of political turmoil stemming from the country’s election results declaring Maduro the winner. On Monday, the National Electoral Council that made the call, which also happens to be composed of members of the country’s United Socialist Party that Maduro leads, declined to release any ballot info. Supporters of Maduro’s opponent, retired diplomat Edmundo González, say they have exit polls and voter tally sheets showing him winning.

Over the course of multiple posts on Monday, Musk took to his platform X to proclaim Maduro committed “major election fraud” and amplified other tweets saying the same. This led to the Venezuelan president talking trash about Musk on national TV and challenging him to a fight on Monday.

State troopers are investigating a deadly crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck in the Baytown area early Monday morning.
It happened just after 1:45 a.m. on Fisher Road near the Grand Parkway.
Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety said the Cybertruck driver was heading west on Cedar Parkway when the vehicle left the roadway near Fisher Road for an unknown reason.

The Cybertruck hit a concrete culvert and went up in flames, DPS said.
The driver died at the scene, DPS said. They have not been identified due to severe burns.
DPS also said they could not identify the license plate or VIN due to the fire.

LOL. Rico. Have they filed a complaint yet? Wake me when they do. I suspect this is just empty tough talk. Nobody would be idiotic enough to sue companies just because they don't want to buy your product.

How in the hell can you sue someone who chooses not to advertise with you? Does every company have to advertise in every medium? What if I'm a local company, do I have to advertise in the newspaper and on the local radio station? What if I can only afford one?
