Not sure bin Talal is a loser. I mean yeah he lost money, but he helped buy a legitimatized platform that the Saudi government could likely get unfettered access to. He didn't lose money, this was opportunity cost for the House of Saud.
And let’s also not pretend Musk is in it for the money.

What real shit is he getting done? Can we get a list?

Advancing EV’s, expanding internet access, dramatically lowering the cost of space missions, translating brain waves…there’s a whole world outside of politics where some positive things are happening.

Thank god he’s lowering the cost of space missions. I was paying way too much when I was going on space missions.

I appreciate the insightful, constructive reply, as do the others who’ve piled on the likes.

Yeah, just like Bill and Melinda Gates advanced education.

Tesla was bought by Musk, he didn’t build it. Its success is despite him not because of him. He’s supporting a presidential candidate that actively works against the electric vehicle industry.

Expanding internet access with what? Starlink? The government can provide internet access much cheaper and better than Musk ever could.

Lowering the cost of space missions? Again, if we funded NASA, we could do all of this without involving a billionaire freak.

He's already the richest person on the planet.
It’s not enough for him. Money in America buys political influence and political power. The more money he has, the more influence over our political system he has.

I also think he has genuinely regressive political views. Dude is from apartheid South Africa and daddy owned an emerald mine. No way he isn’t a massive racist.

Yet some people are still convinced he’s Iron Man. He’s not smart. He got lucky with his PayPal bet (who would’ve ever thought that we’d be sending money over the internet? What a novel concept and innovation) and now the rest of us have to pay for it by dealing with his influence on our politics and government.

So why doesn’t he spend all of his time on those things rather than tweeting all kinds of stupid and dangerous BS and stumping for Trump?
