I suspect that while 16 may be the age of consent (it is in NC) when you traffic them across state lines that may trigger some age related federal laws.Someone should remind that piece of shit that age is irrelevant when the girl is forced into sexual acts.
No age limit on the Mann Act. You just have to be judged to have transported them for immoral purposes. Used and abused since 1910.I suspect that while 16 may be the age of consent (it is in NC) when you traffic them across state lines that may trigger some age related federal laws.
The immoral purposes language was removed awhile back. Now, it just needs to be transportation for a sex crime. No age limit on the Mann Act. You just have to be judged to have transported them for immoral purposes. Used and abused since 1910.
I can't believe that slipped by me.The immoral purposes language was removed awhile back. Now, it just needs to be transportation for a sex crime.
I was thinking maybe some add on federal laws.No age limit on the Mann Act. You just have to be judged to have transported them for immoral purposes. Used and abused since 1910.
This should be fun. I never thought we'd see the day when any Republican would actually sue a Murdoch property, given how right-wing they all are, but here we are. Just more evidence that Trumpers are intolerant of even very conservative Republican media outlets daring to criticize Dear Leader. I'm sure that the Murdochs will make sure that Fox continues to slavishly support Dear Leader no matter what, though.Trump apparently followed through with his threat to sue over the WSJ report.

You realize, of course, that you just completely ruined the punch line--read with a Jersey accent--to the "Dad" joke about being arrested for "transporting gulls across state lines for immortal porpoises."The immoral purposes language was removed awhile back. Now, it just needs to be transportation for a sex crime.
Why would they publish the story if they were just going to retract/pay up? It's not as if it was unanticipated that he would sue. The guy has defamation complaints on retainerAnd I fully expect the Murdocks to capitulate.
Man I thought I was the only one who knew that terrible pun.You realize, of course, that you just completely ruined the punch line--read with a Jersey accent--to the "Dad" joke about being arrested for "transporting gulls across state lines for immortal porpoises."
WowYou mean its like the biden administration covering up his mental decline? Is it that bad? Oh no, I know how the left hates cover ups. Hire some protestors. Gotta do something about this cover up
I was a bit disappointed it wasn’t $10 Trillion TBHTrump suing WSJ/Murdoch for at least $10 billion..
...
There is a lot of buzz that WSJ actually trimmed back some other portions of the story and released a more limited expose than was expected. We may never know for sure.I’m assuming this is a matter of an editor with a backbone saying “no” and a Murdock with a grudge taking a potshot. I doubt this is some principled corporate move coming from one of the least ethical corporations on the planet.
I expect Trump will drag this out as much as feasible, rack up legal fees, and badmouth News Corp properties on a daily basis. News Corp is publicly traded and as their stock falls, investor pressure builds to settle. Hope I’m wrong.
I’ll be more surprised if this gets to discovery than if News Corp pays a settlement before the year is out.
