I think you're vastly underestimating the give-a-fuck of his base. They're going to be elated when Maxwell says that he never did any nefarious things, and view the pardon as a sacrifice that he had to make in order to get her to expose the truth.
Is part of the deal that, in addition to absolving Trump, she will implicate Democrats in her “testimony” that earns her pardon?

You are really overestimating the Trump base here. Sure, there may be a few QAnon truthing loons he loses (like that QAnon Shaman weirdo) but most of them are too far mentally dug in on Trump being the holy warrior saving the world to not find some way to reconcile this in their heads. They'll have Maxwell fill out some affidavit where the purposes to 'tell all" (including that Trump has never been within 100 miles of an underage girl) and claim they got "the truth."
Yeah my wife said: "he may lose the nut-job vote, but the Christian right is ok with all of this it seems and will stick with Trump."

I'm not sure anything could be more incriminating than Trump repeatedly trying to instruct the press what questions they should be asking.

Seriously, if Trump were to draft a confession that he fucked minors and sign it with his own blood, would it be any more incriminating than what he's done repeatedly over the last week?

[Someone must have caught up with him on the flight and told him to back off the “I have a right to” pardon Maxwell statement he gave before boarding the flight.

Ghislaine Maxwell, who sources told ABC News initiated the meetings with the Department of Justice, answered questions for about nine hours over two days after being granted a limited form of immunity, the sources said.

The immunity allowed Maxwell to freely answer Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's questions without fear that her responses could later be used against her, the sources said.

The so-called proffer immunity is commonly granted to individuals prosecutors are seeking to make cooperators in a criminal case. Maxwell has already been tried, convicted and sentenced for sex trafficking underage girls.
