A Brit friend of mine said the UK government has set up this trip to treat Trump like a visiting king and suck up to his ego so they can get all the trade considerations they want out of him.

Well, it looks like the Brit populace feels otherwise...not dissimilar from our country where Trump is at 37% approval but corporate America and their subsidiary GQP Congress are bending the knee and beseeching favor.

So you send the Deputy Attorney General of the United States to interview her in order for her to tell her story much like a Barbara Walters or Oprah interview...

Why not send a DOJ intern with a list of questions and a tape recorder ? Does the Deputy AG not have more important things that require his time and attention ?

Well, it looks like the Brit populace feels otherwise...not dissimilar from our country where Trump is at 37% approval but corporate America and their subsidiary GQP Congress are bending the knee and beseeching favor.

It's a tough situation to be in. Trump is a bully. The easy way to manage him is to placate his ego. But for politicians, there is a huge cost to publicly genuflecting in order to get the concessions their country needs. They don't want to be stuck in the India situation with 50% tariffs being bandied about and tanking their stock market.

Yeah, how many sex offenders are extended the "opportunity to speak" about their crimes? I can't think of a single one and even raising the issue in that way is risible.

She had an opportunity to speak, at her trial. She turned it down. And for the prosecution that's enough.

Seems like Patel’s answer would have been that there is no client list, which he has publicly stated a number of times. Honestly, he is so unqualified for the job at hand it is hard to figure out whether his response means there is a client list and he is inartfully dodging or he is so bad at this that his dodge makes it sound like there is a client list.
