Travis Clay just said that the underaged girls Epstein trafficked were 16 and 17 and in a lot of states that is the age of consent and if he did what he did in, say, Alabama, it wouldn’t even be illegal (huh?)
He also felt it was necessary to make the point that 50 year old men have sex with 16 and 17 year-old trafficked girls was not as bad as if they were 9 or 10 years old.

It’s telling how much the talking points have changed so quickly.
Reminds me of this bit

To put it rather simply, outside of the Trump administration, the DOJ isn’t there to do the president’s political bidding and the president does not call on the DOJ to do its political bidding. Moreover, the president and the DOJ are typically not coordinating with regard to specific cases. That is, the DOJ is not reporting to the president any details on cases that don’t involve issues of national security. I think it’s safe to assume that Biden and Garland (or other folks who are high up in the DOJ) didn’t discuss the Epstein case.
Forgot to add the obama administration didn't you? I mean holder was fellating obama to the point michelle was jealous.

Changed? Changed? I remember that back in 1975, the Oscars for: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Screenplay all went to "One Flew Over the Cuckcoo's Nest." And it contained a couple of lines of dialogue that I bet St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago could emphasize with: "She was fifteen years old, going on thirty-five, Doc, and she told me she was eighteen, she was very willing, I practically had to take to sewing my pants shut. Between you and me, uh, she might have been fifteen, but when you get that little red beaver right up in front of you, I don't think it's crazy at all and I don't think you do either. No man alive could resist that, that's why I got into jail to begin with. And they're telling me I'm crazy over here because I don't sit there like a g**-d*** vegetable. Don't make a bit of sense to me. If that's what being crazy is, then I'm senseless, out of it, gone-down-the-road, wacko. But no more, no less, that's it."

Change the phrase, "that's why I got into jail to begin with" to "that's why I got into trouble with the libs to begin with" and MAGA would eat it up.

I suspect that while 16 may be the age of consent (it is in NC) when you traffic them across state lines that may trigger some age related federal laws.
No age limit on the Mann Act. You just have to be judged to have transported them for immoral purposes. Used and abused since 1910.

This should be fun. I never thought we'd see the day when any Republican would actually sue a Murdoch property, given how right-wing they all are, but here we are. Just more evidence that Trumpers are intolerant of even very conservative Republican media outlets daring to criticize Dear Leader. I'm sure that the Murdochs will make sure that Fox continues to slavishly support Dear Leader no matter what, though.

And I fully expect the Murdocks to capitulate.

The immoral purposes language was removed awhile back. Now, it just needs to be transportation for a sex crime.
You realize, of course, that you just completely ruined the punch line--read with a Jersey accent--to the "Dad" joke about being arrested for "transporting gulls across state lines for immortal porpoises."
