ESPN gone from YouTubeTV

Of course YTTV could turn this around and say they thought Disney didn't need them since they own Hulu and ESPN, so why should they pay what Disney is asking to carry their networks on YTTV.

Hulu subscription numbers have risen due to a Disney-YouTube TV blackout, with millions of YouTube TV users losing access to Disney-owned channels like ESPN and ABC after a failed contract negotiation
. This has caused a surge in interest and cancellations for YouTube TV, and a subsequent spike in sign-ups for competitors, including Hulu + Live TV
Which is what Disney wanted to do all along. They don't have any intention to negotiate in good faith. If my YTTV hadn't already been paid for November I would have canceled YTTV and gone with Hulu with Live TV until they figured this mess out with YTTV.

YTTV should have also credited everyone's account $30 when they were charged the next time after October 30 instead of this BS of waiting to see if this goes on "for an extended amount of time" like they said. What exactly is an extended amount of time? I was charged the usual amount of $89.99 on Nov 1. If I had known they wouldn't have reached an agreement before then I would have canceled YTTV and gotten Hulu Live TV. But if they had least credited me $30 I could have spent that $30 getting the Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN Unlimited bundle.

Yeah. Disney currently makes money from people with YTTV who never watch their channels at all. Hard to believe they would walk away from that

Maybe. But if they force more people to subscribe to Hulu Live TV or even just ESPN Unlimited they might be able to make more money than what they get paid from Google to carry their networks on YTTV.

Distribution platforms certainly can have leverage against content creators, ESPN just may be an example of a creator that’s too large for it to have impact.
Sure, they have a little bit o' leverage... but the content creators will simply find another outlet, another distributor.

Eggszactly... YTTV is not to be held blameless in this - at least in terms of raking in some free ca$h this Nov. Think about it... they get at least $20 per subscriber and provide nothing. Yet they don't pay ESPN/Disney squat for at least a month. Do the math. I did. YTTV is not the good guy for the consumer.

On the flip side of that coin - Disney ESPN and Hulu are trying to skive off some subscriptions from YTTV, and it's working.
BUT, some of those subscribers are going FUBO or sailing with the Pilot. (Thought I'd throw a bone to the old-timers here. IFYKYK)

It's a classic negotiation. Both sides want some of what the other has. Once a deal is done, the Dems and Pubs should take note.

I found some link on YouTube called Heel Brothers. Some dudes talking now at halftime. I should start something like this.
