What a colossal fucking disaster this is becoming.
Yep. And pretty much everyone who voted against Trump knew this was coming, and said so repeatedly during the campaign and after. The more prominent ones opposed to Trump practically shouted it on television, social media, podcasts, and any media venue they could find. Hell, nearly all of Trump's cabinet and top WH aides from his first term flatly said that he was unqualified for the office and would be "dangerous" if he got a second term. And plenty of posters here (including you) also predicted that this would happen. And yet somewhere around 77 million people just ignored all the warnings and voted for him anyway. Just a massive failure of our political and electoral system and the American public.

Trump Calls Signal Leak Episode a ‘Witch Hunt’

:ROFLMAO:
But remember folks, it's liberals who are the snowflakes and whiners! White conservatives never have meltdowns or scream that their mistakes (including very bad ones) are simply the result of a "witch hunt" by enemies determined to bring them down, rather than just the result of them being incompetent or stupid or unqualified to do the jobs they're given (not earned, given).

IMO, as long as this administration is in power the "Trans-Atlantic Alliance" is dead. We're treating Canada and our historic European allies as enemies and our historic enemies - Russia foremost among them - as valued friends. And it will stay that way as long as Trump 2.0 is in power. European nations are both right and wise to seriously re-evaluate their relationship with us. They're going to turn us into a pariah state before they're through, and to be frank I'm not at all sure that isn't the goal.

Putin's Will be Done.

I wonder what fresh hell this clown show of an administration will inflict upon us today.
Give this administration just a few minutes to savory the sweet, sweet taste of "We f'ed up bad and not only do we not care, but we revel in not caring." This whole thing could have been a set-up just so St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago and is Merry Band of Misfit Miscreants could savor in the impunity of their misconduct and the impotence of their opposition. It's not like they are every going to have to face a free and fair election again.

“… “I just talked to Elon on the way here. We have the best technical minds looking at how this happened,” the group’s creator, Mike Waltz, told Fox News on Tuesday.

… In 2023, a Pentagon memo warned against using Signal and other mobile for any nonpublic, official information, NPR reported.

On March 18, an agency-wide email repeated that Signal shouldn’t be used even for non-classified communications because Russian hackers were using the “linked devices” feature to spy on encrypted conversations. …”

Not to worry, everyone. Big Balls will get to the bottom of this.

Exactly, no matter one's political views, everyone should have easily seen what Trump is and voted against that.

“… Joe Kent, Trump’s nominee to be director of the National Counterterrorism Center … was among a group of officials who participated in a chat on messaging app Signal to plan an attack on Houthi militants in Yemen.

… During the planning phase, Kent, a former Special Forces soldier, chimed in at one point in the chat to say: “There is nothing time sensitive driving the timeline. We’ll have the exact same options in a month.”

… U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) excoriated Kent.

The recklessness and incompetence of how Trump’s so-called ‘best and brightest’ handled national security information is bad enough when they’re channeling the offhanded attitude of tweeners texting about their plans for spring break,” Wyden said in a statement.

But the fact they included Joe Kent in this buffoonish behavior only magnifies their dangerous sloppiness and total disregard for intelligence since he hasn’t even been confirmed by the Senate.” …”
