With the testimony from Gabbard and Radcliff that none of the Signal chat revealed classified info, Jeffrey Goldberg should share unredacted what he was privy to with the American people, so we can evaluate the veracity of their testimony and determine to what extent we can have trust in the competency and honesty of the current administration.

Once upon a time, we welcomed people from enemy states. They were called "defectors." Now, apparently, the rule is that everyone from an enemy country is an enemy, with the exception of the leaders of those countries who butter up Trump and become his "dear friends."

There has been no "fallout" and there never will be, because a) everyone was vetted and b) they are migrants, not foreign agents. Again, the easiest way for terrorists to come into the country is not crossing the Southern border. How did the 9/11 bombers get in? Visas. If there were to be fallout, we would have seen it already -- it's not as if the asylum surge was new (lots of border crossing in 2016-2019).

Bottom line: there are very few foreigners who want to come into the US to be terrorists. The risk/reward just isn't remotely worth it. It requires money, which isn't necessarily available without bin Laden, and the terrorism groups have decided that bin Laden's strategy of going after the "far enemy" was ultimately stupid. While it did wreck the US, it did nothing good for the Islamist cause. ISIL was more effective by far, and thus the terrorist groups remain focused on the near enemy.

But y'all are the people who are also terrified of illegal voting, even though it doesn't occur for the same reasons. It's not remotely worth it.

Maybe it's a bad idea for the country to sell out all its principles, erode our liberties and civil rights, and elect nincompoops based on imagined threats that have no basis in reality. Why y'all so scared of everything? Living in fear, my god.
It is much easier to convert people already living in the US than to send terrorists over the border. New Orleans, Boston, San Bernardino, Hudson River Bike Path, etc., etc. I'm not aware of ANY terrorist attacks involving border crossings, even though that is the first thing Trump claimed in the New Orleans attack. If this were truly a meaningful national security risk, you'd expect at least one instance of a terrorist attack based on a land border crossing. (Trying out the new big orange font).

IIRC there was a guy apprehended near Seattle around the year 2000 who might have been planning some sort of terrorism thing in LA. Vague memories. Long time ago, and pre-9/11 security upgrades.

@Kraftyheel89 , my friend ( and @UNCatTech ), what I wrote earlier is a parody poast of an amalgamation of what some of our MAGA board denizens might respond with - really one of them in particular. I put it in quotes to make it seem like someone else was saying it, but in retrospect - as you're the 2nd person I've inadvertently "hooked" with it - I probably should have done a better job of indicating to others that it was meant as such.

I assure you, I feel the same as you (and sringwal and others living on Earth Prime) do. 🎉
Yea, i figured it out but you had me worried at first. :D :D

Classified or not the app isn't FOIA compliant so it's illegal for them to be using in any government act
LOL. I mean, you're not wrong. It's just that we're in a place where FOIA non-compliance is almost an afterthought. Remember when it was a big deal when Trump was flushing docs down the toilet?

On a side note, the deep, dark conspiracy theory forming on the right is that the signal chat was intentionally leaked to send a message to Europe.
Well, now, wait one dadgum minute. Which is it? Was it intentionally leaked to send a message to Europe, or was it a total sham hoax by a washed up fake news “journalist” who didn’t actually have the texts because the texts never actually existed?

I mean absolutely.

But it's just they are like oh no it's only that the reporter got added that's the problem...

They were using an illegal app in the first place. And SIGNAL OWNS THE DATA lol

They own the communication sent. It's hilarious

For real?
They say it's never recoverable other than on the phone. But that's kind of the issue that government communications are supposed to have records. While it's in their app it's theirs

And so it's in the grey area where the government doesn't own it. But signal owns its app and the transmission across is, even if they say the data is decentralized. It's got its own vulnerabilities

But Joe Biden! But Hillary! But Democrats! But the woke! But the transgenders!
There were TV ads in Texas before the 2024 election mixtaping/conflating transgenders, (in) the military, and (illegal) border crossings/migrants. Nothing about the economy, which Trump has wrecked.

When others argued in favor of the strikes [on the Houthis], Mr. Vance said he would support them but added, “I just hate bailing Europe out again.”

Well, Europe hates you back, dweeb. What a pompous twit, as if it's Vance himself bailing out Europe.
