My mother has been helping her sister and spending weeks with them.

She said that their TV never changes channels, it's always on Fox. They are very racist, very religious, hate LGBTQ people. It's sad how bitter they are. They have a Gay granddaughter that they do not communicate with.

I agree most NPR reporters and staff lean left. NPR is also fastidious about factchecking. So the selection of stories may be different than those on Fox, but it’s extremely accurate and fair information.

I got annoyed by NPR the first Trump term because they’d always have a Trump surrogate on and seemingly be afraid to push back on anything that was said. Always assumed that was out of fear of being perceived as biased.

It’s telling that you think because their employees probably vote a certain way, that their reporting must ipso facto be skewed to some corresponding bias. Projection, as always with these people.

NPR is about as neutral as reporting gets. If you find biases there, take a long look in the mirror.

I don't dislike NPR or PBS, even though they lean left. I just see no need for the Federal Government to subsidize it any longer. It's no longer 1970, when you had limited TV options.

The reason for funding National Public Radio and Public Broadcasting Service eludes you? Really?

The subsidy wasn't about scarcity of bandwidth. Precisely the opposite: PBS and NPR were taking scarce spots away from commercial broadcasts, but Congress thought it important that we have PUBLIC broadcasting.

Also, the fact that there are 500 channels of shit now doesn't defeat the need for quality public broadcasting. Quite the opposite, actually.

I believe the government funding of NPR is another fox news myth.

Private individual donations account for over 32% of NPR's total revenue, according to a document from Oklahoma State University. Additionally, donations from businesses, universities, and foundations contribute another 44.4%. This means that a significant portion of NPR's funding comes from private sources rather than government subsidies, which make up only about 5.8%.

Kinda like public colleges. Only 16% of UNC's funding comes from NC state appropriations.

Should be pointed at that the six men arrested were here LEGALLY.
Trump doesn’t give a shit that lives are ruined and businesses are destroyed.
And this obviously has nothing to do with ILLEGAL immigration if they are also rounding up and deporting people here with valid work visas.
This shit is evil and stupid on top of that.

Vincent Scardina……the Trumplican roofing contractor…….who still supports Trump? He can go fuck himself.

I also DOUBT that he has paperwork showing his roofers are here legally.

He and his landscaping relative have been hiring undocumented immigrants for decades because they can pay them less and work them more.
