OH, thanks for reminding me. This brings up a good point I wanted to ask you, since you're the REAL legal expert around here. Isn't an appeal from a unanimous jury conviction a complaint that the jury got it wrong? And if that's the case, isn't Trump the one who's complaining that a jury of his peers unanimously got it wrong by convicting him of committing 34 felonies? And if that's the case, isn't it Trump who's complaining, and not those of us who think the jury got it right? And if THAT'S the case, isn't it YOU who are complaining on Trump's behalf, and not those of us who think the jury got it right? Thanks so much in advance for answering these questions in good faith.

Also, because I fucked up on this last week and you (properly) called me out for it --

It is real. When I first caught a glimpse of the signs behind a CNN reporter at the White House this morning, I thought wtf are there realtor signs on the White House lawn. And then I thought maybe Trump was literally trying to sell the White House. lol

Turns out it was something even more ridiculous.
Just more evidence that this entire administration is, among many other awful things, simply a massive trolling operation to own the libs. Doesn't matter how destructive (or self-destructive) the policies and decisions are, as long as they're owning the libs they'll laugh all the way to the unemployment line.

Enforcing immigration laws doesn't make me a bad person
No, but you being gleeful at the thought of other people's life being turned upside down is.

I've wrote on this thread multiple times that sometimes things that happen to people, like their business being impacted by unnecessary tariffs or lack of trade policy by the administration one voted for, are bad and are in some way related to their own choices, but I've never been gleeful of the what these people have to deal with.

You are a bad person because you are getting joy out of the misfortunes of other's. But it's understandable as your orange leader commends and encourages this. He loves the wedge he places between people, he loves seeing people laughing at other's problems, it's part of his personality disorder and he has shared it with all of his followers.

These are examples of the issues with the maga cult. The idea that they are ok with other's being targeted and suffering as long as it's not them personally is disturbing.

We've witnessed so much of this from the right... I was ok with deportations as long as it's the bad people and doesn't impact me, coming from the person whose wife was just deported, etc.

You hear yourself? The left loves mocking Trump and wishes bad things against him. Can't have it both ways

I would gladly take any random citizen of the world, including those who have immigrated to America without documentation, to be the president of the United States over Donald Trump. At some point, you'll realize you've cast your lot with one of the 0.000000000001% of humans who could not keep America great as we head into our 250th year. Unless, of course, that's what you and your FSB comrades have been hoping for all along.

You are so confused. We're talking about people here, not trump. We're not talking about mocking; we're talking about getting joy out of other's misfortunes.

STOP distorting what I'm saying. You know your false dichotomy isn't relative in this conversation.

It's so sad that you would try to conflate these two dissimilar topics.

You are a sad person for wanting to justify your inhumanity.

Yes, but we don't get a hard on for the destruction and suffering he's causing. Silence read an article about people at a night club being arrested and needed a moment alone with some Jergens and a sock. That's a sad man.
Yeah. It's probably all he's got.

President Donald Trump's mass deportation plans are pushing American farms to a "breaking point," experts warned.

Martin Casanova, founder of THX, a program that connects consumers with farmworkers, told Newsweek. "We are dangerously close to a breaking point. In 2022, an estimated 15 million tons of produce were left unharvested in the U.S.—enough for 30 billion daily servings."

A key aspect of Trump's immigration agenda is the removal of millions of undocumented immigrants, with a focus on the immediate deportation of individuals who were in the U.S. illegally, especially those with criminal records. However, the president's flagship policy has sparked concerns about its potential ripple effects on the economy.

Business leaders are advocating for a more balanced approach that supports businesses while preserving the essential workforce crucial to their survival.

Agricultural output will fall between $30 and $60 billion if Trump's flagship policy is carried out, according to the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC).

At least those farms are safe from the transgender menace. That’s all that really matters.
