Sad but true. Most democracies have already elected at least one woman as leader - the UK did it over 45 years ago - yet too many Americans (including many women) have an absolute fear and aversion to electing a woman as president. And much of that prejudice probably comes from what they were taught as kids in conservative churches. I've heard Baptist women tell me that the post of minister was "reserved" for men by god, and they actually prefer it that way. I suspect the same mindset extends to voting for president. I do think we'll someday elect a woman, but it's still going to be awhile, I'm afraid.
