Sad but true. Most democracies have already elected at least one woman as leader - the UK did it over 45 years ago - yet too many Americans (including many women) have an absolute fear and aversion to electing a woman as president. And much of that prejudice probably comes from what they were taught as kids in conservative churches. I've heard Baptist women tell me that the post of minister was "reserved" for men by god, and they actually prefer it that way. I suspect the same mindset extends to voting for president. I do think we'll someday elect a woman, but it's still going to be awhile, I'm afraid.

Unfortunately, the first female POTUS will be right-wing as hell.

Maybe. She'll have to win the GOP nomination first, and as Nikki Haley has discovered most Republican primary voters aren't likely to vote for a woman to be the GOP nominee for president. Conservatives in other countries seemed more willing to choose a woman as their party's nominee, Republicans not so much. I sometimes wonder if the first female US President will be a vice president who takes over when the POTUS dies or has to resign for some reason, not someone who is actually elected POTUS on their own.

A lot easier to elect a woman in a parliamentary system without direct elections for prime minister. We likely would have already had a female leader if we had a parliament.

She ran against Trump in the Trumplican Party.

“Moderates” and “Independents” seem to prefer right-wing blacks and women to Liberal blacks and women.

My aunt said she couldn't vote for Hillary because she stood next to Bill after he admitted the Lewinsky stuff. She had no problem voting for Trump three times though despite Stormy Daniels and everything else....

There's no reason to question that ability. It belongs with Santa, unicorns and the Easter Bunny as phantasmagorical creations.
