Reminds me of that old story about a man who met a childhood friend who was now a physician. When the man was bringing the doctor up to date on his siblings, he mentioned that his older brother thought he was a chicken. The doctor immediately exclaimed, "He needs professional help!" Fox is supposedly a news channel. It's not. It's a network which was established specifically to propagandize to a right-wing audience. And it does. It shouldn't surprise anyone that MAGA finds Gutfeld's show to be funny.
Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon, et al from established national broadcast television networks have expanded their foray into political comedy not just because late night hosts have historically made some cracks at the expense of the president or other public figures, but because Trump can't shut the fuck up or not do something moronic or controversial for just 24 hours. It is a non-stop onslaught of this or that. And as such, we are forced to experience it and deal with it on a near-endless basis and their monologues now reflect that. Trump is omnipresent in our culture and in our news media in a way no president in the modern age previously has ever been. And he loves every minute of it.

While funny, I struggle with this concept as I'm sure that there are as many above me as are below me in a graph of individual intelligence. So I work to stay humble, though I often slip up.
