love the farmers in Iowa but you voted against your economic best interests and now you are paying ( literally ) the price.

I can hear the echos now, "If only Stalin knew," "If only Hitler knew," and "If only Trump knew." St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago knows, but getting him to act on that knowledge costs money, not votes. Stalin knew. Hitler knew. And Trump knows. Those farmers are nothing but white poker chips to Trump.

Remembering that Iowa poll at the tail end of the last cycle that showed Kamala leading. It was spectacularly wrong. But Iowa would be in so much better shape if it was right.

. . .. This man's family needs to get him help.
Reminds me of that old story about a man who met a childhood friend who was now a physician. When the man was bringing the doctor up to date on his siblings, he mentioned that his older brother thought he was a chicken. The doctor immediately exclaimed, "He needs professional help!" To which the man replied, "I know, I know, but we really need the eggs."

wow, not sure where to go with this, but I did laugh.

Gutfeld, is funny to you. As noted is does the same thing that you accuse the Late Show of doing. But since the 50% is liberal, you find it funny.
Fox is supposedly a news channel. It's not. It's a network which was established specifically to propagandize to a right-wing audience. And it does. It shouldn't surprise anyone that MAGA finds Gutfeld's show to be funny.

Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon, et al from established national broadcast television networks have expanded their foray into political comedy not just because late night hosts have historically made some cracks at the expense of the president or other public figures, but because Trump can't shut the fuck up or not do something moronic or controversial for just 24 hours. It is a non-stop onslaught of this or that. And as such, we are forced to experience it and deal with it on a near-endless basis and their monologues now reflect that. Trump is omnipresent in our culture and in our news media in a way no president in the modern age previously has ever been. And he loves every minute of it.

One of my favorite quotes along those lines from George Carlin...

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

While funny, I struggle with this concept as I'm sure that there are as many above me as are below me in a graph of individual intelligence. So I work to stay humble, though I often slip up.
