love the farmers in Iowa but you voted against your economic best interests and now you are paying ( literally ) the price.

I can hear the echos now, "If only Stalin knew," "If only Hitler knew," and "If only Trump knew." St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago knows, but getting him to act on that knowledge costs money, not votes. Stalin knew. Hitler knew. And Trump knows. Those farmers are nothing but white poker chips to Trump.

Remembering that Iowa poll at the tail end of the last cycle that showed Kamala leading. It was spectacularly wrong. But Iowa would be in so much better shape if it was right.

. . .. This man's family needs to get him help.
Reminds me of that old story about a man who met a childhood friend who was now a physician. When the man was bringing the doctor up to date on his siblings, he mentioned that his older brother thought he was a chicken. The doctor immediately exclaimed, "He needs professional help!" To which the man replied, "I know, I know, but we really need the eggs."

wow, not sure where to go with this, but I did laugh.

Gutfeld, is funny to you. As noted is does the same thing that you accuse the Late Show of doing. But since the 50% is liberal, you find it funny.
Fox is supposedly a news channel. It's not. It's a network which was established specifically to propagandize to a right-wing audience. And it does. It shouldn't surprise anyone that MAGA finds Gutfeld's show to be funny.

Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon, et al from established national broadcast television networks have expanded their foray into political comedy not just because late night hosts have historically made some cracks at the expense of the president or other public figures, but because Trump can't shut the fuck up or not do something moronic or controversial for just 24 hours. It is a non-stop onslaught of this or that. And as such, we are forced to experience it and deal with it on a near-endless basis and their monologues now reflect that. Trump is omnipresent in our culture and in our news media in a way no president in the modern age previously has ever been. And he loves every minute of it.

"No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the America people." Popular paraphrasing of a longer statement from H. L. Mencken.
One of my favorite quotes along those lines from George Carlin...

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

While funny, I struggle with this concept as I'm sure that there are as many above me as are below me in a graph of individual intelligence. So I work to stay humble, though I often slip up.

The extremes of that bell curve can get pretty slippery since intelligence never travels alone. It's easy to fall into bad company.

Congrats on finding a video from Earth 2. Because there has never been a moment in this world in which conservatives have not been at least as focused as liberals, and often much more so, on using the power of government to coerce behavior. And that is far more true now that it ever has been before.

I'd appreciate a timeline showing me when and where liberals ever tried to govern by fiat in the US. Literally every "restrictive" policy that they backed was to hinder the restrictive and exclusive behaviors of WASPs and their toadies. I don't consider it coercive to halt hate speech, attempts to keep people from voting, or infringement on their personal freedoms, all thing conservatives revel in.

Oh, I don't know. Remember when Obama deployed a personal army fully under the control of the executive in the rural counties across America that have crime rates far higher than any city? Remember when Kamala incited her followers to assault law enforcement officers and violently invade the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying the results of the 2024 election? Remember when Biden tore down 1/3 of the White House to build a dedicated space for drag queen story hour? Remember when the liberals on the Supreme Court voted to remove a woman's right to make decisions about her own body, a right that had been recognized for almost 50 years? Remember when Hillary and Ash Carter used our military assets to blow god knows who out of the water in the gulf Obama had unilaterally renamed?

I mean, it's not like liberals have NEVER governed by fiat.

Untreated mental illness can be horrible to watch.

This man's family needs to get him help.
When I previously responded to this post, I assumed that you were referring Mike Lindell, the "My Pillow" guy. However, if you were referring to me, I assure you many in my family share your concern.

Don't get me wrong. I don't say that they never would. They've just never had that power nor the unity. The closest was under LBJ who quixotically threw it away over the Civil Rights Act.

I was referring to Lindell, not you. 😁
