A classic FAFO:
In 2020, Joe Biden won Hispanics by nearly 2-1 (61% to 36%).
4 years later, Trump nearly tied Harris for the Latino vote (51%-48%).
He won Hispanic men by 10 % pts. (54-44).
A 33-pt swing in his favor from 2020.

Fast forward 1 yr and Latinos are in a very different place than they had hoped.
They’re in a world of hurt - and they voted for it.

Only those that fell for it. Sadly for those that didn't, they are REALLY getting fucked and it's awful

This wasn’t governance.
This was class warfare disguised as a culture war.
And until Trump country realizes the villain isn’t the communities they’ve been trained to fear, but the elites they’ve been trained to worship, the pain cycle will not just continue—it will accelerate.
Hell, it already is.

It's been depressing reading the replies to social media news articles about this issue - lots of Trumpers (including many claiming to be nurses) insisting that the Education Department is just trying to lower costs for nursing students in some way by doing this, and that it's not a way to make it more difficult to obtain a nursing degree or to reduce the prestige and numbers of FNPs in particular.

Reducing the number of graduate nursing degrees will make healthcare in the US far more unaffordable than it already is.

Maybe, but she walks away with millions of grifted dollars and a full retirement from the government.

Maybe she learned that trump doesn't give a fuck about anyone, maybe not, but she's not going to worry about it while spending those millions.

While those that voted for her are worried how they will pay for Christmas, groceries, and keep their jobs, maybe retire, maybe not go bankrupt over medical debt.

Well, you get what you vote for.

I do have a question. Other than pissing them off, how does it impact nurses if the government says they are not professionals? Everyone else knows that they are. Does it impact loans, or pay, or something else?

Pretty sure this started about loans and loan limits by job status.
