Where I live, a battleground state of sorts, there have been guys in trucks with Trump flags and guns. I was at the store a while ago and I saw one drive by. I have no idea how many there are. I've heard of several. My kids school was cancelled this morning because of it, I think. I don't know if this is an isolated thing or if it's happening elsewhere.

Last I saw this shit was during the pandemic.

They threatened my kids' school, you fuckface. I get that education doesn't mean anything to you, but threatening teachers is not OK.

School emailed to say the men have been arrested. It appears to have been only the one truck roaming around everywhere, though school says there might be another so there will police stationed there the rest of the week.

They threatened the school? That is not in your OP. Was it explicit or implicit?

It was at least mentioned in the OP. I don't know if it was explicit or implicit. School sent out an update late this afternoon. It said that an arrest has been made and it is unlikely that there is another group but not impossible so there will be police. That's all they said, and I guarantee they will not say anything more than that to anyone. So I don't know exactly what happened.

I'm surprised school getting canceled because a truckload of gun toting Trump supporters were nearby didn't make the news.

It might have made the local news, I don't know because I don't look at local news.

It isn't going to make the national news on the day after the election. It's especially not going to make the national news because it's not new. Springfield Ohio had to cancel everything for a week because of stochastic terrorism. Communities all across the Midwest have been having to close schools, cancel meetings, put up special security measures, etc. because of right-wing militant extremism.

I don't know exactly what happened at the school. I don't live close by. It's close to where my ex-wife lives. There was an altercation; there was an arrest; there was a truckload of Trump supporters; and there were guns. That's what I know. I also saw a truck drive by with men in the back, and they didn't appear to be on any job, you know.

I wasn't close enough to see the guns clearly to know what type they were. I know shit about guns and couldn't identify an AR-15 in a display case, let alone being held by someone driving by in a truck 50 yards away (I think -- I'm terrible with distances). I surmised it was AR-15 because it looked exactly like what I witnessed in 2020, when they stationed themselves at garbage dumps and recycling centers to protect those sacred locations from the mask mandates. That time, I asked what type of gun, and asked why they felt they needed such powerful weapons to station at a place where people drop off bottles and cans.

I think this must have been a different guy as it was a transient Harris supporter that they arrested in a hotel room. No reports of him being in a truck or schools closing. But this is a unique case.

People getting arrested for riding around in trucks with guns and closing schools is apparently so common in the United States that it doesn't merit a mention on any news sites that I found. This is in contrast to numerous mentions of snow closing schools at various districts that does seem to be newsworthy according to my Google search.
