Maybe that person is willing to pay higher taxes to live in a state where his daughter doesn’t have to die from an ectopic pregnancy?

Personally I don’t like Newsome, because I also think he’s fake as hell. But acting like migration out of California is because he’s doing a bad job is laughable. Businesses are leaving so they can be in states where they can pay their workers less and treat them worse. Ever heard the term “race to the bottom”? Rural Mississippi is cheap as hell to live in but it ain’t because the government is doing such a great job.

No argument on the attractiveness of Mississippi. However it also doesn’t have the wealth ca has. Given the resources ca has, there is no excuse for it to be a net migration loser except that unchecked liberal g’ment control has created a climate that is unaffordable or untenable to over 3 million of its residents. Newsome never attempted to change that or if he did was completely feckless. I get the left voting for him in a general but not in a primary unless the thought was that none of the other candidates could win a general.

You’re right. It’s completely logical to choose to pay higher taxes over your life on the 1% chance your daughter has an ectopic pregnancy.

I’d gladly pay more taxes for a national health service that controls medical costs and guarantees quality health care for all (taking that burden off businesses), for better roads and public schools.
