Do they do planes for night games anyway? I’m honestly glad it didn’t happen. That stadium is not Kamala’s audience, and getting Trump a little angrier seems pointless at this point. He’s already incandescent.
I don’t think it would be a bad idea for Harris to mention Trump being in Tuscaloosa to cheer for the Tide during a campaign stop in Georgia.

How do we know Trump was rooting for Bama? Herschel was in the booth with him, too, and I'm sure Herschel wasn't rooting for Bama.

I mean, there is the Trump rule that he pretends to like whoever he is with -- so I suppose a reasonable assumption is that he rooted for Bama.

This is why I think us in the SEC would be absolutely humiliating. We wouldn't win a conference game for a deacde.
I think that would apply to most of the teams in the ACC. Wouldn’t be one bit surprised if these meet for the CFP championship.

Can someone explain to me the advantage of poking at Trump for a second debate? Personally, I don't want Trump to accept another debate. I don't think that Harris could do much better, and Trump might get lucky and land a haymaker. We all know that at least 80% of the country won't change their opinion one iota based upon another debate, but you could still have some fence sitters, and my guess is that with expectations so high for Harris (and, conversely so low for Trump), another debate could actually hurt Harris.

There's a much greater chance that he has a breakdown on stage than that he land any kind of punch. Judging from his speeches, he's the next best thing to unhinged. That belongs in the public view instead of the media bubble he's in now.

Trump talking in front of as many voters as possible rather than his rally/NewsMax/OAN/Fox/Facebook/YouTube bubble does Trump the most harm.

The NY Times, WAPO, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, CNN, and even MSNBC are not going to talk about how old and diminished Trump is. They aren’t going to show his dementia-addled rants and raves.

Let’s have a “debate” in late October.

He’ll likely lose his crap on national TV - some place mainstream media can’t spit shine his nonsense.

Get in his head. He is clearly unraveling right now. Deep down, he is, and always has been, massively insecure.

It's a win win for Harris...

If he refuses to debate, then he gets branded as a little wus who is afraid to debate a strong black woman about the issues.

If he debates her, then the public will see that the first debate was not a one-off, and he will be humiliated again

1. Trump likes winners.
2. Herschel would piss on Uga if it made Trump happy.
3. It doesn’t really matter if he was rooting for ‘Bama. That’s the optics of the situation and taking a shot at him over it would be tongue-in-cheek but would also probably draw some inane, clumsy response from him because he cant control himself.

I think UNC would win a 1-few / year in football. However, by far, the most important thing would be additional revenue to fund basketball and other sports. I fear that, given the importance of NIL going forward, UNC is going to have a hard time getting the talent to come in that is needed to win at the highest level of MBB.

I’m at a point where if you told me that UNC would go 6-6 many more years than not, with the occasional opportunity to win more, in the SEC, I would take it in a heartbeat. If we are going to be pedestrian, at least let’s do it against teams that would be fun and exciting to play against. I do agree with @wmheel1287 that we would run the risk of having enormous numbers of visiting team fans swarm Kenan, but at this point I’m willing to gamble with that. It’s so miserable being a middling program against the Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Duke, Boston College, Syracuse’s of the world. Let’s at least do it against Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, etc.

Exactly how I feel. Not like they are consistently fighting for the ACC anyway. If the Heels are going to be mediocre at least they can be in a better conference. Besides, if you're going to be the best you have to beat the best.

I'm not so sure the gap is that big. Kentucky gave UGA everything they wanted last week and then upset Ole Miss today. Tennessee is also a monster. Texas and Oklahoma too? Yeah, we'd be thrashed weekly and absolutely overrun by visiting fans every week. I'm not sure that would ever be fun. We aren't willing to do what it takes to compete with those schools in football or baseball either for that matter.
The top 4 or 5 teams in the SEC would curbstomp us. This year that list is Texas, Georgia, Bama and Tennessee.

Once you get past that, give us one of our good teams and we can compete. 2019-2023 UNC can compete with anyone in this year’s SEC except the 4 I listed.

And in baseball we can compete even better than we can in football. Especially if we get SEC money to enable us to field a staff and NIL infrastructure on par with other schools.

We are almost the laughing stock of the acc. We would 100% be in the SEC. Our admin, coaches and fans belong in the big east

The top 4 or 5 teams in the SEC would curb stomp just about any team in the ACC.

The top 4-5 ACC teams will curb stomp UNC this season.
