He’s POTUS. He’s omnipresent in American affairs.
He’s instituted tariffs, increasing costs and uncertainty into the business cycle.
He did. Biden kept some of those tariffs in place too. He uses them as a weapon, sometimes good and sometimes not. We don’t have rampant, across the board inflation. Like many on the left predicted. Uncertainty is reflected in the markets. They seem to be ok with the uncertainty.
He’s sent ICE, poorly trained ICE personnel, into American cities and neighborhoods, and killed and abducted American citizens and legal residents.
He did. Should have been handled much differently. I support the policy, not the execution. However, I’ll take it any day over the alternative of continued mass illegal immigration and hundreds / thousands of American citizens killed by illegal immigrants. Something the left seemingly cant bring itself to acknowledge.
He’s completely supported Project 2025; which he claimed to have no knowledge of it during the 2024 election.
Sorry, not a project 2025 conspiracy theorist.
He’s savaged NATO.
He did. Initially taking it to far, but since the war im re-evaluating my opinion on that. I will still probably come down on the side of being to harsh but he was right about nato being a paper tiger and needing to step up.
He arbitrarily attacked Iran; disrupting oil, gas, and fertilizer supplies globally.
I support it and think it was far from arbitrary. He is on the cusp of doing something that will make the world much safer if he has the spine to see it through and doesn’t cave.
He’s gutted support for Ukraine and cozied up to Putin, including ending/reducing sanctions on Russian oil.
He forced the support to come from Europe rather than the US carrying the load. He was absolutely correct in doing so. Europe just approved 100 billion loan. It worked. Why such catering to Europe from the left? Why the refusal to hold it accountable for anything. You guys claim free speech is under attack here but pretend Europe is the example the US should live up to. Cozying up to Putin = left talking points.
I realize you support his policies (IIRC, you “claim” to not like his personality or style; but, you like his policies). He arbitrarily attacked Iran. His policy resulted in a closed Strait of Hormuz and Trump and his buffoonish Cabinet and staff have no clue how to re-open it.
He made a mistake not placing security for the strait as priority number 1 when it started. That was certainly a strategic blunder. The pain caused from that is short term and a small price to pay from a neutered Iran with no uranium, no military infrastructure, and no threat to Middle East chaos.
Im extremely fatigued by the damage his mouth does when it’s so counterproductive to what he wants to do. I don’t believe anything he says with regard to Iran. I just wait for the next action to happen.
