Good faith privately-funded White House ballroom discussion

Maybe join chili on his walk. You are waaaaaay to far in the zzl weeds
When no one can tell the difference between when you are "joking" or serious that is your fault, not ours.

This is the classic internet posting strategy of the brand of online conservative culture warrior cheekily named "Schrodinger's douchebag" - say outrageous things then decide whether and to what extent it's a joke based on the reaction.

By the way how you coming on plowing through all those "fact-based" links I gave you a couple days ago? I'm assuming you quickly plowed through all of those as part of your curated, non-partisan three hours of morning reading one of the past few days.

Does Trump count as a legislator?

But I'm pretty sure Crooks was a GOPer, not that it matters that much.
Yes, Trump counts. In fact, we have done far more legislation by executive action than we have by traditional legislation. I'd say he is the legislator in chief (although he was just a candidate when he was attacked by an indeterminate).

All MAGA have massive insecurities. You can tell that from their reactions when called on their ignorance.

Remember Sarah Palin? When asked what news sources she reads, she said, "All of them." That's basically the same move as calla is making. People like that just do not understand what intellectual integrity looks like. They think that somehow if they convince people that their eyes occasionally glance at CNN that makes them fair and open-minded, regardless of how they actually think and what they take away from it.

Sarah Palin damn well knew she was intellectually inferior. They all do. They just refuse to admit it and so they overcompensate. Just as you saw calla do.

So you agree the design is terrible and the proper process has not been followed? If so, why are you defending the project? I'll never agree private funding of an improvement to the White House is appropriate, and these donations aren't at all like campaign contributions. But leaving that aside, it sounds like you agree with us that Trump should be stopped from doing what he's doing.
I do agree that he didn’t follow protocol. What I don’t know is if there are legally established procedures he is required by law to follow. That is a significant variable. Are there dollar limits as to what he can spend on renovations?

The design component is completely subjective. Trump’s style, based on what has publicly been shown in trump tower penthouse and mar a lago, isn’t my style but im sure it does appeal to others.

I listed the 37 private donors. Why do you think contributing to the ballroom is different than giving campaign contributions. Everyone of those 37 gave huge campaign contributions in the last election. Something has to be built there. What would you rather them build?

I’d much rather walk through the weeds than have my head shoved up Trump’s asshole.

lol at the one bitching about trump pulling out of the WHO. Go start a separate thread on those if you want to discuss those. This is the ballroom thread.

So do you think the reason that GQPers in Congress are pushing for taxpayers to pay $400 million dollars is because the 37 private donors have not contributed a sufficient amount to complete the project ?

Hey man, if you're going to say dumb stuff like that almost no criticism of Trump is fact-based, you can't complain when you get called on it.

Anyway anything good this morning from Southern Living or Men's Health that we should be aware of? Maybe you have a good pimento cheese biscuit recipe to share?

I don’t know if they have contributed anything other than a pledge. Initially the cost was supposed to be $200 million.

There was an article on the top 10 southern desserts. Banana Pudding was number 1. Cobbler was number 2. I saved it because it had recipes for all 10. Let me know if you are interested and I will share them.

There is no real defense of this shit, so all that's left for message board Trumpers is to start trolling and trying to joke about what's happening. Which is why they do it so often - there are fewer and fewer creative ways to defend or excuse this total clown show/clown car operation otherwise known as Trump 2.0.

The least you can do is come clean about making up all of the news sites you speed read six days of week, and the horseshit excuse you were being sarcastic about blaming the dems for taxpayers potentially footing some of the ball room.

Now you guys have forced it by trying to kill him every time he goes out in public. Good job. Maybe the dnp should meet with its stable of suicide bombers and tell them to quit acting independently and wait until they get the go ahead from Schumer and Walmart Obama before undertaking assassination efforts. Keep on and you just might lose the mid terms. When it is built, I hope the dedication plaque will mention the help and contributions made by dems through its timely assassination attempt. So, I guess you could call it a bipartisan ballroom.
Lol, this is clownishly comical.

from the Washington Examiner which I imagine is one of your trusted news sources:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Monday announced he is introducing legislation seeking to fund President Donald Trump’s ballroom project.

The bill would direct $400 million in federal funding to the White House’s new ballroom, which will include a military bunker as part of its national security enhancements. Trump has argued the new venue is necessary to address security concerns sparked by the recent shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Washington Hilton, which he attended and was forced to evacuate.
