That was a good exchangeSolid reply.
A. Agree nobody should be made to feel like shit and less human. We should respect everyone and treat them with dignity. But that doesn’t mean we completely change social order. Men in women’s bathrooms, biological men playing women’s sports, schools keeping parents in the dark, transitioning kids, etc.). Respecting trans people doesn’t mean we have to disrespect, or create situations where others feel disrespected.
B. Im adamantly opposed to biological men playing female sports. Putting someone at a competitive disadvantage just so we can be woke and not offend another isnt the solution. That said, I would have no issue with spending the resources to create ways trans people can play competitive sports. I would be opposed to excluding them from that opportunity.
C. Russia doesnt want Iran to have nukes. Nor does china. Nobody wants Iran to have nukes but they weren’t willing to step up. If you think there are world economic issues now, Iran using a nuke to attack Israel, the US, or a ME neighbor would exacerbate that by 100 times. Iran having a nuke would create a much worse situation than NK and would give it impunity from further increased terrorist acts because the price to defang them would be too high.
D & E. Parts of the left don’t share your’s and my opinion on hamas. The left as a whole isnt distancing itself from that part of the party and is actually electing more people sympathetic to hamas. Look at the very recent, high profile election wins by anti-semites. So that is where the left is headed. They are’t running to the Jeff Jackson’s and feddermans of the party. It’s running to the aocs, mumdanis, and omars. The winner of the Maine dem primary is a person who is openly anti-Semitic and sports a nazzi symbol tattoo. Your party is being taken over by radicals. You don’t want that type of diversity.
F. We are in complete agreement I think. I want an airtight border for security and a system that makes it much easier for vetted people to come here to work and a shorter and less expensive way to become citizens. Where I think we differ is I support those here illegally being deported and going to the back of the line. I have a personal stake in that.
G. I’m not sure what fuck ice means. Does that mean defund ice? Abolish ice? As a country we have to have ice. What we also have to have is compassionate enforcement of laws. One of the worst political blunders of my lifetime is trump’s handling of the deportations and putting one of the most incompetent people in politics in charge of that initially. If the story of the 10 year old going to court without a lawyer and wetting himself is true im going to lose my shit. That might cause me to actually attempt to be involved beyond voting. So far I have only seen it reported on social media and yahoo. Im hoping since I haven’t seen it picked up by every national source means it isnt true or has been misreported. I haven’t checked since lunch.
H. The left’s actions are normalizing certain levels of theft through its DAs and social media influencers. Not prosecuting shoplifting under $1000, cashless bail, “micro looting”, sanctuary laws where violent criminals are protected, etc. it’s a path to chaos. It’s the far left of your party for sure but it is the most visible part of the party because there is no party pushback and will be a huge contributing factor IF the dems lose the midterms. Im actually predicting a dem win, but it isn’t a slam dunk like it should be given trump’s propensity for shitting the bed by opening his mouth.
You and I aren’t on differing political planets. It just seems that way because of this board.
Following up on C.
Are you concerned that Trump tore up the JPOA which has led to Iran increasing its enriched uranium from 3.67% purity to over 60%
