GOP & Policies toward/treatment of Transgender Americans

You voted for a guy who fits that description. And who absolutely 100% committed other crimes, but managed to get a lackey to toss the charges.

But sure, go ahead with your pathetic bullshit. Have you figured out how timeouts work yet?
Who fits that description? Have you figured out how the legal system works yet?
You think joe is innocent of using his influence to generate $27 million of overseas money for his family too don't you?

Ass kicked? Your cult God just barely beat a woman who only had 2.5 months to build a campaign and run. Sounds kind of embarrassing that old orange tuffy could barely squeak it out.
And he also didn't even win a majority of the popular vote - yet again a majority of Americans voted against him. His final victory margin will be somewhere between 1.0 and 1.5%, which places it within 5 or 6 of the closest elections in American history. More of a tap than a kick, really.

This is exactly how I feel, to a word. Honestly, this has been the worst aspect of Trumpism to me- that he has turned otherwise intelligent people, with whom I could probably find common ground otherwise, into unabashed liars and bootlickers who reflexively defend everything without question and who make it impossible for me to respect them or take them seriously. Look, when you are having to handwave away things like sexual deviancy because of political affiliation, you’re completely lost as a person.

“And the right decided that transgenderism isn’t a real thing or it’s a mental illness and anyone who denies that is a commie or a pedophile. To your point, the vast majority of Americans are not far left or far right on this issue. The vast majority of Americans are loving and supportive of the rights of transgender men and transgender women to have the freedom to be who they are, and the same vast majority of Americans simply want there to be common sense solutions that respect the rights of ALL individuals and ensure fair competition in women’s sports, and solutions that respect the privacy rights of ALL individuals in the use of bathroom/locker room facilities.”

He was like 10 years old when the policy was adopted!! Of course he wasn't wearing a skirt. I have no idea why he started wearing a skirt, except that it wasn't because he identified as a woman. The guy was a criminal. A pedophile. A rapist. A predator. There's not a damn thing about the Virginia policies that impacted what he did.

By the way, the leaders of your party are also criminals, pedophiles, rapists, predators. Are you really ok with that?
When the assaults occurred, the policy did not permit transgendered students to use the restroom of their choice. So not only does Callatoroy’s point fail on the gender identity issue, but it also fails on the issue of a trans-permissive restroom policy having had a damn thing to do with the assaults.

I don’t really understand any of the science around gender or sex. I don’t really understand any of the scientific arguments one way or the other about transgenderism. It’s so far beyond the scope of my intelligence to be able to understand all of the intricacies and nuances of the debate.

What I do understand is that every single human being has dignity and deserves the same exact basic human rights as every other person. What I do understand is that using transgender people or other LGBTQ people as a political punching bag wedge issue, is deeply immoral and adamantly opposed to the way that I understand the teachings of Jesus Christ and my Christian faith.

As it relates to legislation, I think it’s deeply immoral to prevent people from receiving gender affirming care. I think it’s perfectly fine to require a person to wait until 18+ to have any type of surgery. I think it’s entirely reasonable to question the safety as it pertains to sports. I’d prefer that individual sport sport leagues that decision as opposed to the government.

But overall I just cannot understand how anyone has the kind of malice in their heart to truly care enough to want to make the lives of transgender people worse simply because you don’t understand or agree with their lifestyle.

This is a great video if you have the time to listen.

If you still have a penis and are simply wearing a dress and make up: You can't use the women's bathroom. There are plenty of unisex bathrooms in the Capital.

If you've gone through with the surgery and have a surgically created vagina: You can use the women's bathroom.
Who is going to be the inspector? Also, if the concern is "men" perving on women, what difference does the current sex organ make? That seems like a weird place to draw the line.

If you are committed enough to go through with the surgery to create a vagina on your body, then you’re “all in” on being a woman who deserves the right to use the ladies bathroom. Otherwise, you’re just a guy wearing a dress so use the men’s room or unisex room? If you still have a penis you can expose yourself (or worse) to the women in the restroom.

Who’s going to inspect any of this?

I’ve written that multiple times and he just stppped responding to me

That's called indecent exposure. There are laws against it.

My only experience with women's bathrooms were installing partitions and doors in them during construction. You know, the same sorts that tend to prevent any accidental exposure.

Lololololololol holy fuck, this dude has gone from deflecting about a made-up trans panic, to deflecting about the entire incoming presidential cabinet to date being a bunch of sexual predators, to now bleating about HUNTER!!!!
The best you can do is super ignore and pray for his family.

" If you still have a penis you can expose yourself (or worse) to the women in the restroom."

Do you think Sarah McBride (D-Delaware) is going to expose herself to women in the Capitol restrooms?

As I've said elsewhere, it's important that we not overfocus on these sexual assault allegations. They aren't close to the biggest problems with these nominees, and let's get real -- do you think the Senate is ultimately going to care? Lindsey Graham has already spilled the beans: they are going to go with the Kav playbook of "unverified allegations."

The bigger problem with these idiots is that they are so clearly unqualified and unsuited for the jobs that the only possible explanation for their selection is dictatorial aspirations by a mad president.

LOL that you think this is a point in your favor. This is a point against your entire viewpoint. Like, the second most fundamental problem with these bathroom restrictions is that they are essentially unenforceable unless there are people checking genitals.

You are just a very silly person all around.

You don’t read the room well or have a lot of common sense. Nothing about my proposal was serious and my statement of who is going to “inspect” any of this was a clue that I wasn’t being serious.
