Right, most of his mins would come at the 4. He also makes a good small ball 5 when paired with non shooters (Wilson)

If Wilson wants a starting spot he will earn it. If he's better than ND at any point next season that is promising for Hubert

Correct, he would not be coming here to be "put on the block." I'd be wiling to bet, wherever he goes, he'd only be playing a 5 in either a 5-out offense or in an emergency. HD doesn't run a 5-out offense, so if he comes to UNC it will be to play the 4 in HD's offense. This is what I've been saying this whole time.

There was another poster who mentioned VAL playing the 4. I was reiterating that VAL is not and should be playing any minutes at the 4 in HD's offense.

Yes, and like I said, I'll be curious if HD can sell him on coming in as a backup role. I could be wrong, but I don't think HD will not start Caleb day 1, it would be odd to pay someone as much as they did, unless they are convinced he's going to start and play a massive role next year.

I think he’s a really good player who didn’t have the personnel around him to really shine, and he’s probably concerned it won’t be any better next season. I think he will get a lot of big offers and we will be very sad he’s not with us when we watch him play next year.

If that is the case it does not look good for the program at all.

cjones mentioned, in the "attrition" thread, about lack of player development being a big issue/culture of and around the program...but didn't mention any specific names of players dissatisfied with that. I mentioned here a few months ago about how the players seemed to have lost faith in the staff being able to figure out how to fix the teams issues. It seems that was accurate.

It makes it really difficult too because now they're going to have to bring in at least two point guards. Also, cjones said it's not a given about Seth coming back. Not off to a great start.

Well that doesn’t fill me with confidence about the direction of the program. Sound like a bunch of coaches who can’t coach. I hope Hubert works out but it sure seems like he is getting a lot of chances no one else on the planet would get.
