Last years team managed to win over 20 games and is still considered a disappointment by many Carolina fans.

But could you imagine lady years team had the staff landed a solid center?

That is what it appeared too be the direction we were going with the early aggressiveness in securing a center.

But with all the departure it appears that we have the piece needed last year but have downgraded every where else.

Look at the 247 portal board, if the 8 guys listed were on the team next season, with DP, ST, and the freshmen, we would be ready for the season to start.

I was really just objecting to calling Drake Powell a 1 semester footnote. I think that's a crappy way to refer to a UNC player and all-around great guy.
yeah, he's a UNC legacy via both parents and related to HD and maybe walter? maybe not, not sure which side he's related to hubert on.

"one semester footnote" is a stupid and shitty way to refer to him, for sure.

Glad you added this. It saved me from what would have been an embarrassing comment along the lines of, "well, if Drake is related to HD, and HD related to Walter, then . . . "

In fairness to me, I've basically had no interaction with my dad's side of the family for decades. I met a couple of my cousins when our ages were in single digits and pretty much nothing after that. So I tend to think of family trees as more linear than they are for most people.

Oh, please. Dude crashed his cyber truck at 4:00, almost certainly intoxicated. And stupidly driving a death trap. He's going to be fine. Career might be in jeopardy from what I understand, but if his dad can't take care of him, I mean wtf.
How do you know he was almost certainly intoxicated? He very well may have been, but this is reminiscent of you claiming Scottie Scheffler was clearly in the wrong in Louisville before any of the facts were known. Regardless, it was a completely unnecessary and ridiculous joke to make at the time.

Rommel advanced across North Africa. No reason to think he wouldn't make it to Cairo. Except he didn't. He got stoned at El Alamein. Trends don't go on forever.
A WWll North Africa reference! My dude! I loved watching Rat Patrol in the ‘60’s! That and COMBAT! Were my two faves! Of course I liked Hogan’s Heroes and Get Smart as well, so there is that…

Same here. Such a weird story and dynamic. Just more proof how fucked up my family is.

I basically spent one year knowing my adopted father's side of the family, left and have never looked back.

Young seems like a really good depth piece addition (provided adding him doesn't take us out of the ability to pick up bigger pieces).

He's got some potential as a volume scorer, but you don't have to build around him and I'd assume his NIL wasn't budget-busting.

Good move, HD & Tanner!

Young was essentially free, if not free.
Based on his performance in college so far, that seems the right price.

But seriously, places like VT compete by getting guys like this, training them up for a couple of years so that when they are seniors they are pretty decent players. Don't know if this guy will turn out that way, but he does shoot FTs well. LOL.

Goldsboro native.
