Or maybe he blamed himself. We likely won't know his motivations for awhile, if it ever becomes clear. He knew it was all over and it seems he blamed the team?

Here’s the thing… the way that article was written has us all assuming he didn’t talk to the players after the loss. That assumption would have made sense in like 1985, when we only had landlines and no answering machines. But we are now all connected 24/7. You think he didn’t at least reach out to the players by text? The article could be very misleading, even if the facts presented are true. Just a thought. It said that it's not unusual in the circumstance where the team has bused in from such a short distance.
But not speaking with your coaches for nearly 24 hours (and, potentially, the players for longer than that) when there are rumors swirling about your job is pretty atypical.
If he's not in communication with his coaches, what makes you think he's in communication with the players? Here’s the thing… the way that article was written has us all assuming he didn’t talk to the players after the loss. Ah, quick read of the article and tired brain… missed that line about the coaches. Oops.If he's not in communication with his coaches, what makes you think he's in communication with the players?
Field of 68 just did their podcast and Goodman seems to think that's who the first call should go to. At the risk of sounding like a delusional wolf packer, BD as a candidate is growing on me. I would have maybe had him as Top 5 but I'd firmly put him in my Top 2-3 at this point. He's got the kind of presence and personality that could thrive in the media spotlight and scrutiny that the UNC job would bring, and we know the guy can coach.Billy Donovan?
No way lol.To make you guys advocating for change even happier tonight, the NCState 247 guy is saying Will Wade to LSU is a done deal.
Yeah well you jumping in midstream probably means you didn’t have the context to be commenting on it, but that didn’t stop you.The post you were responding to did not say anything disrespectful about Hubert. It simply said he did not perform up to the standards of the UNC program. Expressing that sentiment does not Somehow put someone at odds with Dean.
Maybe Wanda is.Polo? Didn't figure Roy for a horse guy...
Roy Williams?I should rephrase. I hope this ends up with a better outcome than almost any UNC coaching search at this century, save perhaps for Butch Davis.
You wanna give Ol’ Roy a heart attack?Billy Donovan?
Billy Donovan is 60 years-old (and a rough 60 looking at recent photos).Field of 68 just did their podcast and Goodman seems to think that's who the first call should go to. Yeah, age is a concern. But I don't know, he seems like he's still got a lot in the tank.Billy Donovan is 60 years-old (and a rough 60 looking at recent photos).

You saw the presser.I find it a little disappointing that he supposedly went dark for a day on the team once they got back to Chapel Hill, but yeah I get that emotions were running high. Don’t want to nit pick about it and I’ll wait until the dust settles for a few days/we have a clearer picture of how it played out.
Wait! What? LSU must really love that dude. They didn’t want to fire him until they got shamed into doing it back in the pre-NIL era and now they want him back!To make you guys advocating for change even happier tonight, the NCState 247 guy is saying Will Wade to LSU is a done deal.
Not excited about Donovan.Yeah, age is a concern. But I don't know, he seems like he's still got a lot in the tank.

Chicago Bulls’ Billy Donovan has ears for open UNC job: Report
On Tuesday, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan could be headed for the exit door soon. Momentum is building for Donovan to resign his post amid another failed season in Chicago. The Bulls committed to tanking at the trade deadline, and the...www.chicitysports.com
“One source told CBS Sports that Donovan would, at the very least, listen and be intrigued by the potential to coach at North Carolina,” Norlander wrote. “Donovan previously passed on courtships from other big college jobs, but North Carolina is the one school that Donovan has always held in especially high regard.”
