What's with this animus about ketchup on hotdogs? There's about 30 variations of hotdogs, including that atrocity with pickle, tomatoes and a pepper and some I think with cream cheese. I don't really care how you like yours. I just don't get why three people have jumped on this as ,hell I don't know, some weird validation.
I have a friend who is very anti-ketchup on hotdogs. I think it’s just one of those attention seeking positions. I will admit I have my own, which is IPAs/overly hops in beer are terrible. Whenever we go to some brewery and they get some stingy IPA, I make fun of them because they act like they like drinking putrid swill.

Apparently, all of Chicago is unanimously against ketchup on hotdogs -- vehemently so.

IPAs are truly awful.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Hubert was safe regardless, but I don’t think an early exit has any potential to move the needle now.
When Caleb was injured after our win over dook many people thought (and with good reason) that we were heading into the toughest part of our schedule and that we would be lucky to finish 3-3. Instead we went 5-1, which is pretty damned good given that some thought we'd fall apart after losing Caleb (and Veesaar for a time as well).

Having said that, knowing that Caleb won't return at all has definitely lowered my expectations for the rest of this season, as it should. Beating dook tomorrow was always going to be a tall order, even if Caleb had returned. Hopefully we can win a few games in the ACC tournament and reach the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament, but I think that's about as far as we'll get, if that. It has been a fun season overall, though, and I think a generally successful one, given all of our injuries - first to Seth, then to Caleb and Veesaar, and now Caleb out for good. One of those "might have been" seasons for sure, although it's not over yet and I'll keep hoping for more.

We’re not making it up, we love IPAs. A great IPA is one of my greatest joys in life.

There’s a genetic variation that causes cilantro to taste like shampoo or soap to some people. But I (and many people) find it to be a delicious ingredient. Hops and especially piney hops seem to have a similar effect for some people. But those of us who love those things are not pretending.

Hate IPAs, Cilantro, and can barely tolerate gin.
In high school in the 90’s a friend and I split a 1/5 of Jack and a pint of Gin. The Gin was what I had last. Passed out walking home slept in a ditch, probably almost died, hungover for 2 days. But after that I never drank gin again, couldn’t stand the smell of it and that Christmas I didn’t like the teee either.

Like beer in general, I found IPAs to be an acquired taste for me. The first time I tried an American IPA, some time around the mid-to late-90s, I gagged on it and spit it out. I did get into the much-less-hoppy British IPAs right away (there was a big market for British beer in the 90s and early-00s). But then I somehow found myself intrigued by the taste of American IPAs and ultimately found them craveable.

While I still like and drink American IPAs, I do so more sparingly now. When I want a beer, I’m usually in the mood for something less hoppy now. I’ll go for a pilsner or a lager, or in cooler months might get a porter or a brown ale. I’m always down for a not-so-hoppy pale ale. But there are those days I really am craving an IPA.

It has been a very good season despite the injuries with wins over dook**, kintuckee, Kansas, and @UVA.

I don't expect a win tonight, but I hope we play hard, play smart, and play together.

Win two more games and finish 26-9 ? Given we essentially had a 3 player team and each of them sustained injuries throughout the season, I think we should be very happy if we finish 26-9 or better.

As to the ketchup on hot dog discussion, you apparently get thrown out of the Roast Grill in Raleigh if you even ask for ketchup. I have never been but the place has been there forever.

I heard Hubert likes ketchup on his fries, which are ordered along with his hotdog all-the-way. (Chili, slaw. mustard and onions)
Is that also bad? Ketchup on fries...
A reason to fire Hubert perhaps?

Yeah, that's how screwy this thread has become.

Win 2 in the ACC's
Win 2 in the NCAA's reaching the Sweet 16
Lose 3, finish 28-9

Very successful season given the injuries and probably all we could have hoped for even with Caleb, were he able to go today and finish out with us.

Hubert saddles up for season #6, after his fifth straight 20 win season.
