give us a list of those who ain't gonna do that and don't stop with Hubie
if you're not trying to be the best, then what are you doing? Especially at a blue blood. A little above average isn't good enough. At least it shouldn't be. And if it turns out it is good enough for UNC admin, then that's just taking the easy road. Lazy. An abdication.

But they did come here highly touted shooters but while here never realized that promise - no matter what anyone could do.
I understand what you are saying. I do think a jump in talent, jump in coaches scheming against them, being on a bigger stage, and so forth, will affect a player's shooting. I think the jump from high school to college, as a very young player, is a much bigger jump than from a smaller university.

HD has had several players who've shot very well at another university who came in and shot poorly. Is this his/staff's fault? I can't say for certain. I do think, that multiple players have gone through this does point towards it being something that he and/or his staff are doing that is not working with them.

If it's just that those players are not good shooters playing against the teams that UNC plays against, then it's definitely on the staff for misevaluating them.

Brad Stevens hasn’t coached at the college level in over a decade, and he hasn’t coached basketball at all in 5 years. I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back to the college ranks and dominated if he wanted to, but I still think he and Jay Wright would be riskier options than the guys that already have experience operating in the NIL/transfer rules world.

It’s essentially a moot point either way though. I can’t see either of them wanting to coach again.
Jay Wright is in his 60s and got out because he didn’t like where things were going in college sports. He’s definitely not coming back.

Same for Roy, he was probably already getting burned out and had won 3 titles, saw where college sports were heading and wanted no part of it, so he got out. Can't say that I blame him.

I think we’d have to make him a strong ass offer.
Like maybe an Uncle Bill offer ? 10 million/year for 5 years

I'm not sure that would be enough since he signed an extension through 2031 and estimates are his salary could be between 6-8 million/yr

Let's assume a strong ass offer will not get Scheyer to leave dook** and come to UNC

Any other options who would get us 28-30 wins/yr and nab 2 or 3 national championships ?

He just tipped off in the BIG championship. I have said umpteen dozen times that if our job is open, we are brain dead stupid to look anywhere other than Dusty May.

And, yes, with the right offer and the right NIL commitment, he would leave Michigan to come here.
