With or without water/liquid?
No liquids.

Guinness World Record

The most recognized and strictly verified record is held by Guinness World Records for the most saltine crackers eaten in one minute (no water or liquids allowed):
  • Record: 6 crackers
  • Holder: Carson Webster (USA), a 14-year-old at the time
  • Date: February 5, 2023
  • Location: Rancho Palos Verdes, California, USA
  • Details: The crackers must be standard thin, square saltines (made from white flour, yeast, and baking soda, lightly salted). They must be fully swallowed within 60 seconds, with no chewing assistance from drinks. This challenge is notoriously tough due to the dry texture exhausting saliva quickly.

I haven’t had saltines in a long time. I’ve heard of this challenge/how difficult it is. If I remember this the next time I’m in a grocery store, I am going to buy saltines and try it. This is where I’m at in life.

More questions:
Can you put multiple saltines in your mouth at once, or do you have to eat them one by one?

Can you have water immediately before starting?

I tried 4 in Mangum dorm, failed, 5 seems impossible... i'm going to say the record holder above has some saliva gland mutation. Impressive work OMB!

I wonder what the world record for peanut butter consumption in 60 seconds is? Or peanut buttered saltine crackers...

Watching people try to eat a spoon full of Cocoa powder always entertains me.

Do they check that you get every small bit of cracker down your throat?

I'm going to try this, I just don't see how I couldn't eat 5 crackers in a minute.

5 in 52 seconds. 6 in 1:12. The last one is slow. Using Premium saltines vs Zesta, Premium shaved 4-5 seconds.
