I have kind of petty reasons not to like Shannon Terry but I’m a little worried for ICs tenure on On3. In the sense of, it’s not going to go well.
“The value of your membership and the size of this community will be unlike anything our industry has seen.” is Trumpesque. The community will likely even be smaller than IC is now since they don’t offer a free membership.

Once Rock set this place up I never returned to the IC site. Still thankful for Rock & NYC making this my new favorite board.

Unless I’m mistaken, there are no free boards on the On3 network.

Thanks for linking that. I was apparently mistaken, as you pointed out, so I could be wrong here but I don't think any, or at least almost all, other schools don't have free forums on On3. Wonder if Ben made it a requirement or it just goes to show the size of the stick they swing.Ben said yes in the post on the Basketball board:

I’m a premium subscriber at IC. I will not go to On3. The ZZL over there is a flutter. My very unscientific observations tell me few if any will come here. I am probably one of a few.

My hunch is that IC made it a requirement and it shows how much On3 wanted them.

So looks like the Tar Heel Illustrated crew is indeed switching sites with IC and replacing them on 24/7.
That'll be interesting. IC clearly has the best staff. But, 247 has the free Paramount thing which I use more than I thought I would.
Based on....?
Is Mac TTP going or staying? Maybe someone can convince him to become a free board person. I'm not going to pay 247 for just Andrew Jones, and I don't think i'm going to pay on3 for Barnes/Staples/Sherrill - though they're fantastic.

I know nothing but based on the fact that THI won’t talk about their plans and IC is legally obligated to not talk about their plans until 8/1, it just seems to make the most sense.

Based on that post before mine where the guy said he was going to 247 and AJ when they come aboard.
Negligble. IC is the biggest site on the 247 network and THI is held together on a shoestring budget with just a couple of podcasts and one reporter (Andrew) and very little message board traffic. As a guess, I suspect that IC has close to 100X the number of premium members.
