IC going to On3

I wish nothing for the best for IC and don’t wish harm upon them but man, I hate Shannon Terry.

I downloaded the new IC app and noticed that the main screen is now presented by BetMGM. I have never seen an entity shove ads so far down a users throat as Shannon Terry apparently insists.

This guy sucks. I can’t even use the app without seeing an ad.

Again, in things that might only interest (or amuse me), when Cameron Williams cancelled his visit to Chapel Hill, IC posted the information 3 minutes before it was posted on TH247.

IC did so by quoting a twitter post by Dushawn London, who is a 247 staff member. London was the one who posted the info on TH247, but only after he had posted it to twitter and IC had quoted that tweet to inform their subscribers.

I was just reading the other boards.

The On3 ZZL has 7 threads with post from today, but one was locked for political discussion after about 10 post.

Everyone should go read that thread to see what Chris calls political discussion.

Between losing folks to here with the closure of the ZZLP & IC going to On3, both the ZZL & the TH247 Lounge (the old ZZL on 247) are essentially dead boards.

Also, Chris isn’t really the one to determine “political” discussion on IC & based on IC’s guidelines (as of when I was a mod) he was right to lock that thread. The thread served no real purpose & it was centered on Charlie Kirk; IC doesn’t want that thread left open to become a contentious discussion.

I was curious as to what conservatives were saying and remembered The Main Board on On3 that I brought up before.

Holy shit. Apparently On3 is ok with members posting for openly murdering liberals, users legitimately saying we need to kill them gruesomely. Suggesting how to kill them. Etc.

It is absolutely bananas that that company turns the other way to that stuff.

I’m sure a well moderated off-topic board is the long missing ingredient to IC commercial success.

I don't visit either board hardly at all anymore, as I get everything I need (including most sports discussions) here. I was wondering though, how is traffic on the sports boards of both 247 and IC? Is one board doing better than the other, or is traffic down on both boards? I've been wondering if IC's switch would cost them customers and posters.

Both of them are pretty much ghost towns.

I still hang out at the Shark Tank Today the Charlie Kirk thread kind of had a meltdown between regular customers and the owner/Moderator. Its a tough business I guess

I’ve only looked at the premie sports boards, but it seems like about 2/3 of folks went to ICOn3 and 1/3 stayed behind on 247.

I thought more would follow IC, but it seems like there were a lot of folks who just weren’t willing to figure out moving or were willing to give Andrew Jones & the new 247 staff a chance.

All I can say is wow - I well remember when IC had to be one of the busiest and most active sports boards on the net, and the ZZL was thriving. I haven't posted much over there for years other than on the old ZZLP, but it's sad in a way to know that it's apparently in decline.
The traffic already went down a lot when they split the board into the ZZL and ZZLP. Then went down more when they got rid of the ZZLP. I guess some folks just got bored with it, too.
