It wasn’t that Franklin Street guy but amusingly, there is someone who has tried to register on our forum nearly every day, sometimes several times a day for months now. They were banned initially for trolling months ago and apparently really, really, really want back in.

This forum software is really good at keeping banned posters from re-signing up.

Bring him back.

First, it’s a him.

Second, it’ll be like a cat playing with a laser. He’s the cat.

The Maryland police officer who formally attested to Abrego Garcia’s supposed gang affiliation in 2019—when he was detained the first time—was subsequently suspended from the force for a serious transgression: giving confidential information about a case to a sex worker, The New Republic has established.

This officer—apparently a senior detective on Abrego Garcia’s case in 2019—is named Ivan Mendez, according to information provided by Abrego Garcia’s lawyer at the time, Lucia Curiel, who is also a member of his current legal team. Mendez was subsequently indicted for this offense, pleaded guilty, and received probation.

...

To support this claim, ICE relied on what’s known as a Gang Field Interview Sheet, supplied by the Prince George’s County police. It claimed that Abrego Garcia wore a Chicago Bulls hat and hoodie, that this was evidence of membership in MS-13, and that a “confidential source” had related that he was a member of the gang’s Westerns clique. But that operates in New York, where he never lived.

...

Ivan Mendez was the officer who filled out this gang interview sheet, according to a copy of the sheet itself, which we obtained from Curiel. And Curiel tells us that repeated conversations with the P.G. County police inspector general confirmed that Mendez was a lead detective on Abrego Garcia’s case.
What’s more, it turns out that Mendez was suspended, in early April 2019, for “providing information to a commercial sex worker who he was paying in exchange for sexual acts.” That’s according to the P.G. County police’s own announcement of his indictment, which came a year later, in June 2020. Strikingly, the information Mendez shared was related to “an on-going police investigation.”

“This is clearly not an officer that respects the rules and protocols,” Curiel told us. “If he’s willing to do that, what else is he willing to do?”

Mendez ultimately pleaded guilty to the charge and received probation, according to the office of Aisha Braveboy, the state’s attorney for Prince George’s County. The office also confirmed Mendez’s police ID number, which matches the one on the gang sheet. The P.G. County police declined comment, but the department appears to have acted on this misconduct efficaciously.

Given her years of experience in Florida, I’ve been a bit surprised that Bondi is not a particularly good public speaker.

I would just like to get some Biden/Harris supporter's or unwavering Democrat party voter's thoughts on why it is you think the Biden administration allowed, and actually encouraged, millions of illegals to pour into our country? And I mean the real reason?

Trump had historic, at the time, low numbers of border crossings his first term. Biden sent out the Bat Signal to the world on how Trump's border policies were racist, how they would immediately stop border wall construction, and overturned Trump border policy after border policy until we effectively had an open border which led to the highest number of illegal crossings in our country's history over any previous four-year period....much of which was during a pandemic and at a time when thousands upon thousands of Americans were dying from overdoses of Fentanyl coming over the border. The drug cartels made untold billions from the trafficking of humans into the US that everyone knows will be spent to further their criminal enterprises and all we heard during those Biden years was either the border was secure, which was an absolute lie and only a fool would have believed, or Congress needed to act in order to solve the immigration crisis. This also has been proven to be a lie since border crossings are down 90+% since Trump took office again with the exact same immigration laws as were in place for Biden.

Now we see Democrats holding up their "Save Medicaid" signs while apparently failing to realize or, even worse, actually knowing but purposely ignoring the fact that the billions upon billions of dollars that we have and will continue to spend providing services to the millions of illegals who simply walked in or who were flown in during Biden's term is money that has and will continue to come out of the exact same resources that go to fund Medicaid. It's like screaming "MAN THE PUMPS" on the Titanic while at the same time, drilling holes in bottom of the ship. And all this is without even mentioning the criminal elements that have inevitably entered the US when the world knew there had never been a better time to do so.

So, here we are....the American taxpayer, both you and me no matter which side of the aisle you're on, after having been pillaged by the American politician to the sum of $36 trillion dollars, on top of all the social services we already provide, in the position of having to take care of millions of indigent illegal immigrants who were welcomed into this country when the border could have been effectively shut down just like it is right now, in an effort to achieve something. And make no mistake, an effort of this magnitude was definitely an effort to achieve a goal.

So, my honest question to the, I would say Democrats but since I am one and I know I didn't vote for either of those two, I'll say to the Biden/Kamala supporters or the "vote Democrat at all costs" people on this board, what exactly do you think that goal was?
I reject your premise

Or….i’ve been busy working and living life. Politics isn’t a religion to conservatives.
LOL, you're one of the most prolific posters on this board but that completely changes when news is bad for Trump and company. I'm sure that's just coincidental.

You're correct about politics not being a religion for you though. Donald John Trump is your religion.

There it is, conservative bingo! Dude hasn’t posted on political topics since March, but has on sports topics. All of a sudden, very active. What happened? Oh, a successful black woman is plastered all over Fox.
Wow, a couple of weeks of not posting on political topics - imagine that. I'm heading to the coast this afternoon so I'll not be posting this afternoon/evening just in case you're worried :)

James is about to go down for mortgage fraud. Looks like she declared a residence in VA as her primary residence in order to secure favorable financing. Of course, you are required to be a NY resident in order to serve as NY's AG. Also declared a 5 unit property in NYC was only a 4 unit property, again, to secure better financing rates. Remember, "no one, no matter how powerful, is above the law." "We all have to play by the same rules."

This is going to be fun watching this story develop.

 You do realize that undocumented immigrants contributed 25.7 billion dollars to social security in 2022, right? And that most of these individuals will pay into these programs for YEARS and never see any benefit... this creating a net positive on the system.

LOL. It's a matter for NY state, not the federal government, if Tish James is living in Virginia and serving as NY AG. And the clause that she signed said she hereby intends to occupy the property as her personal residence did not specify when she intends to do that. Maybe after her time as NY AG is done.

The property was considered 5 unit in 2000. I can tell you from personal experience that the number of units in brownstones or other small buildings in New York is a mutable quality. People tear down a wall and combine two units together -- this happens FREQUENTLY. Also, many old buildings have a basement level that was designed for residential use a century ago, but gets converted into office space. Her building is on Lafayette Avenue, which is near where I used to live and I'm familiar with the area. There are doctor's offices in the first floor of half the old brownstones. In the early 90s, these areas (which include Park Slope, where I lived) were run down, to the point where some areas were called Crackhead Alley. But the buildings were high quality. So a lot of physicians bought the buildings for cheap; live in one of the apartments; run their practice out of the basement; and then rent out a few units.

The idea that there is something suspicious about properties having different numbers of units -- this is a person who either has an axe to grind or just doesn't know NY real estate at all.

The Lafayette St property is also close to the Nets' stadium. Again, I can tell you first hand that the stadium has affected property values in the entire area -- mostly but not entirely for the better. Some high-rise buildings lost their views of Manhattan, which was bad; but for the most part, the increase in economic activity would have made the neighborhoods more desirable and the property more expensive. The arena only opened in 2012. For the property values to be changing less than a decade later makes perfect sense.

Terrible jury instructions. Appellate court will reverse.
It would help your cause immensely if you understood what jury instructions are. Unfortunately for you, you have demonstrated almost zero knowledge of law and make basic, fundamental mistakes frequently. There are many topics about which you don't know even the first thing.
