There is no sane response to this? Citizens being murdered in the street by their own government while being blamed for their constitutional right to carry.

And Dems voted to fund ICE. And Walz refuses to protect his citizens by calling up the NG and demanding ICE leave.

There is nobody coming to save you. Voting isn’t going to save you.

It’s what’s happening.

Basically I mean that no matter what response Walz has, or local leaders have, the admin is going to do what they want to do even if Dems try to have cooler heads.

What we should do is escalate to match it because they want fury and are going to make it happen one way or the other.

I’m at the point where local law enforcement should say “fuck you” to DHS, FBI, whoever. It would probably be symbolic since I’m sure the shooter won’t be anywhere near Minneapolis by this time tomorrow, but MPD should investigate and issue a warrant for arrest in case he ever steps foot in the city again.

So crazy that when ICE walks in and says to local law enforcement "hey dipshits, give us whatever we want and serve as our personal security detail" the local cops don't fall all over themselves trying to help.

Not sure I entirely agree. National public opinion still matters and is slowly shifting against the admin. "Escalating to match it" will turn off some of the exact people who are slowly turning against ICE and the admin.

And this sort of situation is why the whole "qualified immunity"/police shooting jurisprudence has gotten so deeply fucked. That jurisprudence often allows officers to create chaos and danger and them absolves them from the chaos and danger they created by saying they were credibly afraid.

The backpack lady and a friend looked to be blocking the street and the dead guy was trying to motion cars around. Then the ICE guys came in with pepper spray and the dead guy started fighting ICE.
