Send someone to inspect the job and drop short 2x2s in all the plumbing vents. Not much satisfaction but they'll be chasing gurgling pipes, slow drains and stuff for some time. This is the story I heard in the bad old days when the checks might not clear and you had to race other subs to the bank. You couldn't make money in jail so you left them with some memories.
