Even if we take your wild stretch of an interpretation at face value (and I don't), there is still no portrayal of the bombers as victims on the Mayor's part. At worst, you are saying the Mayor did not sufficiently call them out for being Islamic extremists (he certainly called out their actions). So what?

You are not arguing in good faith here.

There is no doubt in my mind that, at a minimum, at least two-thirds of all Republicans, and likely more, would gladly and enthusiastically support deporting every single Muslim in the US, and by force if necessary. America's growing diversity terrifies most of them, and getting rid of American Muslims would likely thrill most of them to no end.

He also didn’t mention that the initial violence was from the white supremacists who sprayed the counter protesters with pepper spray. And you keep forgetting to mention it as well.
