Trump will claim he brokered any peace deal reached, proclaiming it to be bigger than Camp David accord with Jimmy, Anwar and Menachem. He's already sent a letter to Sweden for next year's Nobel peace prize - not realizing it's Oslo, not Stockholm. Idiot.

Man this really sucks. I loathe Donald Trump and I loathe Christian nationalism.
That said some part of me is extremely patriotic. The thought of an American warship having terms dictated to it about what waters it can navigate in really pisses me off.

Indeed this is an embarrassment for Donald . But sadly it is an embarrassment for our country, our military.

My wife would tell you, I hate being told what to do, hate having terms dictated to me. My kneejerk reaction is invade and open the strait at all cost. But then I remember I have 2 boys and I don’t want them dying half way around the world and I don’t want the Iranian people dying either.

I guess we are just good and fucked because MAGA elected a fucking moron. Thanks dipshits.
 
It wouldn't surprise me if Trump (via Vance) secretly agrees to most or all of the Iranian demands and then presents to the media a list of fake US demands that he falsely claims Iran agreed to, and then has Fox and other right-wing outlets present it all as a great triumph for him (and it will be all him, not Vance). And in reality Iran will be quietly handed control of the Persian Gulf and allowed to charge fees for using the Strait, and Trump 2.0 will engage in mock outrage over Iran doing what it wants in the Gulf while we do nothing to stop them. Trump isn't smart enough to think up something like that, but a number of his minions are.

And if somehow things go wrong then Vance will become the scapegoat for agreeing to Iran's demands.
 
I think Iran is probably lying about what has and has not been agreed to. But holy hell, if it wasn’t so tragic, it would be hilarious to watch Trump get humiliated by a regime that intentionally lies with abandon. Talk about the chickens coming home.
