So basically the UAE and our other allies in the region are going to run out of interceptors soon, while Iran can keep shooting their cheaper missiles and drones at them for a longer period of time. Sounds swell. Dear Leader and Pete "Macho Man" Hegseth have really got a handle on this thing, guys! Maybe Pete can do some more pushups and flex while grunting loudly and emitting fierce noises, that will surely scare those Iranians to the negotiating table!

So what's going to happen with the stock market and oil futures today? I suspect the Iran Regime Change War depends on the Wall Street front of the war.

Many political observers have predicted based on interactions with Trump Admin officials and/or Trump himself that the Venezuela operation success had been jet fuel for those who proposed using military force elsewhere. Many of those columns and statements have been derided as hand-wringing or even Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Here, Karl is saying Trump directly confirmed that the success of the Venezuela operation encouraged him to be more aggressive with Iran. [And people have ignored his bombing campaigns in Africa, which have reinforced an endorphin rush of military aggression without meaningful criticism (or meaningful results).]

And so completely fucking unnecessary. Those four people should be alive right now - there was no damned reason to do this, at all. And we all know that Trump and Hegseth don't really give a shit about them or the families they leave behind - Trump all but said it yesterday. To him they're nobodies who were dumb enough to serve their country, unlike him. Just collateral damage.

Current futures show a market drop of about 1.15% and oil price increase of about 8%. That is not far from the highs when the futures markets opened last night. So jittery but not a panic stampede.

Sadly, the jump in price is a real lifeline to Russia, which has been starting to feel the double whammy of lower oil prices and Ukrainian attacks on their oil and gas infrastructure.

You know things have gotten bad when Democrats are publicly siding with Nick Fuentes.

I can remember when Trump was excoriated because Kanye brought Nick to dinner.
See, this is precisely the kind of bullshit that precludes you from being taken seriously. Democrats are not siding with Nick Fuentes. Nick Fuentes is having his ten thousandth public meltdown. Every Democrat on earth would prefer that Nick Fuentes is completely eliminated from public discourse.
