I also don't see how it's legal. We haven't declared war on Iran.
We haven't declared war since WWII.
How can it possibly be legal for us to be blowing up their ships that are far away from the conflict zone, have not attacked us, and do not have a realistic chance of participating in the conflict in their current state? I'm no expert on war crimes but this attack sure seems to have all the hallmarks of one to me.
Iran is attacking oil tankers. Eff 'em.

This goes without saying, but if Trump does "wrap this up" now, we will be pretending we can just walk away from an absolute shitstorm of our own making. Zero chance that goes well.

Trump has a high likelihood of going TACO again, especially with the Stock Market tanking and gasoline prices rising 40 cents/gal this week.

But Congress has always provided a war powers or other legislation before a major conflict.

Trump is completely lawless.
The War Powers Resolution of 1973 (50 U.S.C. 1541-1548) is a federal law designed to limit the U.S. President's authority to commit armed forces to hostilities without congressional consent. Enacted over President Nixon's veto on November 7, 1973, the act requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops and mandates their withdrawal within 60 to 90 days unless Congress authorizes continued action.

Trump says he wants to be involved in picking Iran’s next leader as war ripples across the region

So, is it now about regime change (again)?

(Rhetorical question, Zen, not aimed at you specifically).

You left off Vinegar Bend Mizell. Egregious.

We illegally attack Iran.

They respond by illegally attacking assets of the countries that are illegally attacking them.

"EFF 'EM!!!!!!"

You sure you're not MAGA? Or Russian?
What legal body determined that attacking Iran is illegal or are saying that it's illegal simply because they are a sovereign nation?
