Letting trump make decisions is the most stupid.
Well since he’s the elected decision maker nobody else can make the decision. You good with letting Iran keep 60% enriched uranium on their promise they won’t turn it into a dirty bomb or spend the few weeks necessary to get it to weapons grade?

The first 30 days of this war reminds me of the first 30 days of Covid. Remember all the dishonesty coming from Trump? Everything is the same. He has no clue what to do. He just wants it to go away.
What is he being dishonest about? That isn’t the same as saying he hasn’t made mistakes or the messaging has been clear, but where has he been dishonest?

We have the word of Donald Trump himself that their nuclear industry was obliterated months ago. Did he lie then or did he do this to distract from the Epstein files? My initial reaction is that Epic Fury and Epstein Files are both Trump fiascos.
I understand you feel that way but that doesn’t address my question.

I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but what a shitshow this has become.
Gas prices are only going to get worse as long as Iran controls the strait of hormuz, which Trump can’t realistically do anything about without sending in thousands of troops and causing all kinds of deaths. Trump keeps saying they are negotiating, while Iran is saying no we aren’t negotiating. Meanwhile, we are flying around billion dollar jets to shoot down $100,000 drones with million dollar missiles.

It’s clear that Iran is quite happy to draw this out as long as possible and why not? Iran isn’t going to help Trump get out of this when he’s the one that started it and is getting absolutely fucked by it in the polls.

Obama had Iran on a short leash with JCPOA. Trump tore that up simply because it was Obama's agreement, which put Iran back in the nuclear weapons business. Now Trump is spending billions of dollars to undo his own fuckup and we will have a worse deal than JCPOA when all this all over. Every player.....Iran, USA, NATO, the Middle East countries....every player except Israel will be worse off than they were before Trump and Hegseth started dropping bombs and beating their chests with their videos of their power.

Hasn't he been dishonest about the reason for this war? I mean that seemingly changes by the hour.

That is not just "messaging." That is not being truthful.

What leads you to believe that the end result of this war will be the removal of Iran's enriched uranium or a long term degradation of its ability further enrich it to weapons grade? Do you really think we'll be sending in the hundreds or thousands of ground troops that would be needed to accomplish that?

I will disagree on one point, I think when all this settles Israel will be much more isolated than before as younger generations of Americans start to see Israel as a problem nation and have little desire to prop them up, especially as direct memories of the Holocaust and its aftermath fade. Committing your own genocide and war mongering will do that.

An evergreen issue with that rationale (which I agree seems sound) is that populist sentiment does not necessarily equate to political action -- especially if Israel continues to pour money into the pockets of elected officials.

And this is a rub with our current form of democracy. Oh, we'll just vote them out if they don't agree with us on Israel. But people won't, because maybe that politician in your district/state agrees with you on 10 other things you deem more important than our relationship with Israel. So nothing changes.

You might want to go back and look at the limitations in that agreement. It would have expired by now. It was horrible and achieved nothing.
