This was interesting to me. Some of you may find it interesting so I’ll leave a link here. Post/AMA from someone who claims to have been on the ground in Iran for the past 10’days.

Yes, what it needed was a leader who could take up the reigns and continue forming and reshaping the deal. Not blowing it all up and then putting us in the situation we are in now.It clearly wasn't a lasting solution because it sunsets in 2031 and would have provided iran unfettered legal access to developing nukes.
lololololololol. There was more than 1 goal with iran. Regime change wasn't the only goal. There were several. Some of which have been achieved. Technically we did achieve regime change but I'm not arguing we accomplished thath. That isn't why i'm laughing at your comment though. Are you trying to contend that we have, in fact, successfully achieved regime change in Iran, and successfully eliminated their nuclear program? And are you trying to contend that the Strait of Hormuz is in fact not closed and not currently being held hostage by Iran? Are you trying to contend that American lives have not been lost, and critical American military assets in the Gulf region have not been destroyed or crippled? Are you trying to contend that our allies in the region aren’t currently divesting from the United States directly as a result of our incompetence allowing them to get bombed? And is it your contention that the skyrocketing cost of oil and the resultant skyrocketing cost of gasoline and diesel isn’t going to cause massive supply chain shocks and global inflation?
Just trying to understand what you are moronically attempting to argue here before I accuse you of actually being mentally invalid.
I think the countries in the ME and the thousands dead from the billions obama handed to them might disagree. But that's just my opinion. Please cite your source proving everyone else in the entire world disagrees. You might have meant to say everyone on the zzl agrees and I would have believed that.Yes, what it needed was a leader who could take up the reigns and continue forming and reshaping the deal. Anyone who says we are in a better situation now with Iran than in 2016 is MAGA. Everyone else in the entire world disagrees.
You could go look on the polls thread and see just how popular the war and Trump is with Americans. It’s MAGA and then everyone else.I think the countries in the ME and the thousands dead from the billions obama handed to them might disagree. But that's just my opinion. He tanked it because it was trash. Would you be ok if in 2031 iran was allowed to freely develop nuclear bombs without any constraints? That's really what it comes down to. The same regime would likely still be in charge. It didn't work because Trump tanked it while it was working. Godalmighty, this is just like Afghanistan. Trump upper decks the toilet, and you guys complain when the bathroom smells like shit.
well popularity should drive everything. You could go look on the polls thread and see just how popular the war and Trump is with Americans. It’s MAGA and then everyone else.
Oh, wait. Netanyahu and all the middle easterners you love so much are happy for us to kill their enemies at the cost of the American economy and American lives. You got me there.
Oh, I forgot Russia and China are thrilled as well. Score one for you again.well popularity should drive everything.
Ahh yes, when all else fails and you know your argument is embarrassingly stupid to anyone with an IQ above freezing, resort to accusing the other person of rooting for Iran!lololololololol. There was more than 1 goal with iran. Regime change wasn't the only goal. There were several. Some of which have been achieved. "We have given Iran unmitigated and unencumbered control of one of the most important shipping lanes on the globe with no way to force them to relinquish it short of initiating a ground war that we likely cannot win."
"It has failed to eliminate the Iranian nuclear program."
We didn't give iran unencumbered control of the strait. They have had informal control since the early 70's and have used that threat for decades. European control of the strait has been mostly symbolic.
Their program might exist in a notebook somewhere, but for the next 10 years we have effectively and practically eliminated their nuclear program. Their infrastructure and military facilities have been bombed to shit. Get back to me in 10 years though and you can make that argument then.
And lastly "Officials from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain have conveyed in private conversations that they do not want the military operation to end until there are significant changes in the Iranian leadership or there’s a dramatic shift in Iranian behavior, according to the officials, who were not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity." We aren't losing regional allies. They need us to do their dirty work. The middle east despises the iran regime.
Bet you are in the basement now wearing your turban rooting for iran.
I disagree. Calla catches a lot of shit here, and for good reason. But he's not a troll like Ram or Pandemic Blue. Calla is that traditional conservative hanging on by his fingernails to the edge of the cliff as it crumbles beneath him. He doesn't want to let go, but at some point, it's no longer his decision. Thanks to Trump and MAGA, the ground he's been clinging to no longer exists. Many of us here gave up the fight and picked up the white a long time ago. It takes some people longer than others. But down deep, Calla's not that different from the rest of us. He just has a higher tolerance for having his guts ripped out by the party of his upbringing.

He has allowed Donald Trump to turn him into a carnival barking fool. Its sad.I disagree. Calla catches a lot of shit here, and for good reason. But he's not a troll like Ram or Pandemic Blue. The leverage we had to get them to the table originally was still there to help force continued compliance and extend or amend the deal.He tanked it because it was trash. Would you be ok if in 2031 iran was allowed to freely develop nuclear bombs without any constraints? That's really what it comes down to. The same regime would likely still be in charge.
Well, North Korea developed the bomb while we watched, and we didn't intervene. Is Iran developing a nuke our problem, or more like a Middle East issue (Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc.)? I think it's the latter. I'm tired of the US playing world policeman, aren't you?He tanked it because it was trash. Would you be ok if in 2031 iran was allowed to freely develop nuclear bombs without any constraints? That's really what it comes down to. The same regime would likely still be in charge.
Only when Dems are in power. Then they are sick of foreign wars even though they started most of them. Divided allegiances among oil companies, Israel and their bank accounts make it tough on the leadership.Well, North Korea developed the bomb while we watched, and we didn't intervene. Is Iran developing a nuke our problem, or more like a Middle East issue (Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc.)? I think it's the latter. I'm tired of the US playing world policeman, aren't you?
Do you think it's possible call a roy really is a bot?The idea that ppl on here even attempt to talk to this 'call a roy' bot like a rational human, in spite of the data, gives all the evidence one would need to understand why the united states of the America is a trash, low iq country. Jfc.
Just volleying low end mediocrity back and forth, for years.
The best Trump can do is the Obama Treaty. And now Iran can't trust the US and has no reason to negotiate. He tanked it because it was trash. Would you be ok if in 2031 iran was allowed to freely develop nuclear bombs without any constraints? That's really what it comes down to. The same regime would likely still be in charge.
You so casually disregard all of the substance of Jesus's teachings to cling to the perverted views you wish to preserve.Sixth commandment refers to "ratsach" aka "unlawful killing" aka murder -- it does not rule out killing for every reason.
And again in the Matthew verse you copied it refers specifically to murder not all killing no matter the reason.
Jesus seems ok giving this parable in Luke 19:27:
“But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.”
And more directly, if someone believes in the trinity god of christianity they also believe Jesus is Yahweh who killed people left right and center. If you're going to quote the 10 commandments then one has to include the rest of the OT where yahweh slaughtered entire people groups.
