Unleaded gas was a new option. Lead in the paint, too. Long gas lines. Leisure suits. Polluted cities. Stagflation. Good times!

As an aside, I learned recently that high amounts of lead in chocolate appears to be a problem due to leaded gasoline. The beans are harvested and then dried on the ground… the remnants of leaded gasoline in the ground are absorbed by the bean during the drying process.

Extra addictive dark chocolate. Trump must have had a lot of chocolate back then, candy covered in gold foil.

Had a friend that worked at the CDC and he was astonished by the increase in IQ in the cities after unleaded gas. I said maybe that’s the problem people got smarter and the powers that be lost control?

What little I post is nothing more than the other side of the coin that will never see the light of day here unless it is posted by a conservative.
This is untrue.
The conservative view on tariffs is no tariffs, which I have been against since at least the 1980s. I expressed that here. You used to not support tariffs, but now you do. That’s not a conservative position. That’s a “I support whatever Trump does,” position.
What were “conservatives” saying about foreign war entanglements before the election compared to now?
What were “conservative” posters here saying about the deficit before Trump became president and what do they say now (nothing)?
My views on immigration are far closer to Reagan’s and the Bush’s than Trump’s are. Who is the conservative?
Committing war crimes is now a thing Republicans support. I don’t see that as a conservative position.
The only reason you don’t recognize me as a conservative is because my views on these things haven’t changed over time. Republicans just sign off on whatever Trump does and call that “conservative.”

why does iran need nukes as a deterrent? no other country in the ME has nukes except israel (pretty obvious why). has israel ex wipe iran off the map? north korea isn't remotely comparable to iran. north korea hasn't publicly stated their sole purpose is to wipe another country off the map and death to america. north korea didn't attack israel 2 years ago. north korea isn't sitting in the middle of the one thing on earth that drives the world's economy. this board seems oblivious to what would happen if iran actually used a nuke and the impact to our economy and the lives that would be affected by those most vulnerable to a bad economy. to think iran wouldn't use a nuke on israel is pretty naive in my opinion. we just disagree.
The answer to your question is that Iran absolutely should not have nukes. However, this war is absolutely not about Iran's nukes. That's the real problem. Most likely its about Trump getting a payoff similar to what he got with Venezuela. So are you defending a Trump payoff?

It is extremely bad policy for the US to allow itself to be completely tied at theh hip with any other country. That includes Israel.
Especially Israel. The naivety and Biblical ignorance of evangelicals have caused us to to act counter to our best interests in favor of Israel's over and over again and gotten damned little in return.

The most annoying part is that this current country of Israel is not even the Israel of the Bible.
