Biden never got fooled into this war… it’s been on the table for an early 50 years and only the dumbest president ever fell for it.

What you are replying to didnt come from a party. It came from a poster. Reply to that poster.

I assure you that I never defended Biden during his decline. I was adamant that he was bo longer mentally fit. I was also not happy at all that he stepped aside so late and how the nomination happened.

I am, however, absolutely sure that right now Donald Trump is also mentally unfit to be POTUS and is doing real harm to the world every single day. How about let's stick to that? Do you believe he is mentally fit to serve or not?

Biden was more competent when he left office than Trump has been since Trump took office his first term, much less now. WE traded down in every possible way.

I certainly hope Democrats learned a hard lesson from 2023 and 2024. It will be extraordinarily disappointing if they ever allow anything like that to happen again. Which makes it even more incomprehensible that Republicans did not learn anything from the innumerable scandals and signs of mental and political incompetence in Trump’s first term, culminating in the first president-initiated coup attempt in our nation’s long history on January 6. Democrats are suffering the consequences of their Biden-era mistakes right now. We are ALL suffering the consequences of the Republican Party’s decade-long obeisance to a mentally ill madman.

If Trump would have done nothing after being elected president the USA would be way, way, way better off today.
No stupid tariffs. The markets would be booming. Inflation would be down. Mortgage rates would be down. Gas prices would still be way down. And we wouldn’t be in the middle of this pointless war.
So, yeah, I’d rather have a drooling Biden doing nothing than Trump screwing up the entire planet.

There is no doubt in my mind that even an aging Biden in clear mental decline, surrounded by a competent staff and cabinet as he was during his term, would be doing a better job than Trump is right now. We wouldn't be fighting this stupid war, we wouldn't have needlessly gutted government agencies, we wouldn't be waging a war on vaccines and modern medicine thanks to quacks running the HHS and other federal agencies, we wouldn't have this staggering corruption happening, we wouldn't have torn down the East Wing to build some gaudy and expensive shit to replace it, and on and on.

And I'm sure as hell not saying that Biden should still be in office, only that for a guy showing signs of senility he sure as hell was doing a better job of running the government and country than the mentally ill person now in charge. Biden may have been getting senile, but he wasn't a lunatic. Trump provably is.
