I've argued for years that OBL was eventually killed but arguably still won the WoT because of where we are now: $6T and growing down the drain, severely damaged economy, and a fractured nation.
Of course he won. He died knowing that he had precipitated the downfall of this nation...that we would consume ourselves into the same vicious cycles of his own region.

Germany's Chancellor openly says what everyone else is thinking (except for MAGAs, of course): Iran is humiliating the United States and Donald Trump, and that "it is quite obvious that the Americans have no coherent strategy whatsoever."

I think that is closer to reality than his other claim about thinking for some time that China and Russia will invade the US because we ran out of missiles.
As usual, you’re picking nits that don’t need to be picked.

Speaking only for myself— I’ve long thought (ie, over the last decade or so) that our current and continuing/advancing state of decline on multiple fronts has made us increasingly susceptible to military attacks from Russia and China.

While I admit that my initial thoughts ran to physical boots/boats combat, I’ve become convinced that that level of intervention likely wouldn’t be necessary in the near term—however, it might become an eventuality as a mode of finalizing the job.

Iran understands that our defensive munitions are limited (80% exhausted). The midterm elections are looming. Our markets are fragile and could run out of optimism soon as inflation and the economy are taking major hits.

You are probably saying this tongue in cheek but - no chance of that. "Invading" the US is functionally impossible for China and completely impossible for Russia. Even if we had zero missiles it would take millions of ground troops with air and naval support to get across a whole ocean to even come close to contemplating an "invasion." And imagine trying to occupy the US. Unless they nuke us, in which case why bother invading?

Real concern is that China has no fear in taking Taiwan and Russia keeps going after eastern Europe. Luckily the EU is taking steps to address the latter issues with the US becoming an unenthusiastic alliance member.
Yeah, I wasn’t being serious.

Yeah, if you don’t see this as a giant clusterfuck you are definitely MAGA and have TDS.

Yep. We are pretty obviously in no danger of an invasion but we don't need to be invaded to lose the war and have some fairly disasterous consequences. Not invasion level consequences but still not great.

Nits? You made a claim that you thought we were going to be invaded by Russia and China and have thought that for a long time. Literally the first sentence of your post agreeing with a guy making a joke that he didn't think anyone would take seriously. That's not some tiny detail picked out of a long and otherwise brilliant Eyeballkid post. Its the main point you were trying to make and then you wrote paragraphs trying to support your fantasy.

Even nearly every Trumper and bosider on this board has given up arguing that this was some sort of masterstroke by Dear Leader, or that they had any semblance of a long-term plan or strategy other than just bombing the hell out of Iran and expecting them to quickly give up and negotiate on our terms, or that this hasn't been an epic disaster for the United States and Middle East on many levels. And this will hardly be the last foreign-policy disaster these clowns are going to lead us into, as they have no clue what they're doing, other than our "Secretary of War" (lol) and President, like middle school boys playing tough, love bullying and talking tough and bombing other places without ever thinking about the consequences.

Plenty of MAGA thought this war was a mistake and going against one of the main pillars of MAGA: staying out of foreign wars. But plenty of MAGA supported it because its Trump.

Week nine of the 5-week war we were promised. Doesn’t seem too bad. If it ended in the next week or two. But it won’t.
