“…
But the video briefing is fueling concerns among some of Trump’s allies that he may not be receiving — or absorbing — the complete picture of the war, now in its fourth week, two of the current officials and the former official said.

They said the videos are also driving Trump’s increasing frustration with news coverage of the war. Trump has pointed to the success depicted in the daily videos to privately question why his administration can’t better influence the public narrative, asking aides why the news media doesn’t emphasize what he’s seeing, one of the current U.S. officials and the former U.S. official said. …”

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone outside the cult. Trump's M.O. for his entire adult life has been to surround himself with people who will tell him only what he wants to hear and puff up his ego 24/7, not actually tell him the truth or present the reality of a situation to him. In his first term he was surrounded by at least a few people who were willing to stand up to him and either say "no" or "we can't do this", but in his second term he's succeeded in creating a royal court of toadies and sycophants whose job is to tell him how great he is and carry out even his smallest personal whims with no hesitation and, in effect, create a cocoon to isolate him from reality. So the fact that none of his aides are willing to tell him the hard truths about what's really happening in this war is no surprise at all - their job is to tell him how swell things are going and how we're just obliterating Iran and the Iranians are scared to death of his immense power and that all of these media reports of Iran closing the strait and gas prices soaring and so on are just liberal lies from the usual suspect no-good liberal news sources. And in part that's why we're so screwed in his second term - he is totally disconnected from reality. Not just the reality of this war but likely in everything.

And in that sense he's the perfect leader for MAGA Nation, which also wants to be isolated from reality and to see and hear only what they wish. The reason why they're addicted to Fox News and other right-wing sources is because they only tell them what they want to hear, not how the world really is. No doubt most MAGAs also believe, like Dear Leader, that this war is going well and gas prices are only up temporarily and everything will be over soon with a massive US victory that will once again allow them to own the libs and Trump's critics. No hint of the reality of the situation is allowed, either for them or their adored leader.

Weapons diverted from Ukraine for use against Iran. Russia given an opportunity to further strengthen its ties with Iran. How is this not a FSB operation from start to finish. My only question is how closely the FSB and Mossad coordinated their actions in creating this situation. But I may be overthinking the situation. We are talking about St. Donald the Dunce and the merry band of simpletons he has surrounded himself with in his second term.

How is it possible that munitions are depleted when we spend vastly more than any other nation in the world? This fact alone should raise enormous red flags regarding actual waste, fraud and abuse within the Defense budget. Maddening...

On a world-wide comparison basis, the only thing that exceeds the amount that the US spends on military defense as compared to the rest of the world are the profits that US military suppliers and contractors enjoy as a result of the "protection racket" that all of us have been duped into believing is necessary for our "FREEDOM!"

Little “detour” to Iran “it will end soon” but had to do a detour to “put out a fire”

“… but they shot the now famous Ireland er uh island that the UK was afraid to give us [presumably he means Diego Garcia] because they didn’t want to get dragged in. Well we didn’t want to get dragged into their wars either you know it’s one thing we’re very disappointed I’ll say it publicly we’re very disappointed with NATO cause NATO has done absolutely nothing nothing.”

I mentioned on another thread that the 2028 GOP presidential primary was well underway. It will be entertaining to see if and when one of them decides that the US intervention in Iran is unpopular enough to take a stand against it and what the other does in response.
The GOP nominee isn't going to be either one of those fools. The GOP is going to end their decade-long marriage to Trump by running him out of town on a rail and scrub him from their official histories.
