Is it time to replace this God with a new God ?

This old God is very very old, and it seems we may need a new younger God that can address the world's needs of today.

Don't get me wrong; He created a beautiful pristine world way back when, but he has been unable to protect the innocent children and families from death and catastrophe or his other constituents from torture, famine, poverty, and lives of misery.

I think it is time to find a new God who is more in touch with the needs of our world today and has the much needed competence to rescue our world from where we are today.

Keep the old God who is over the hill ?
Elect a new younger more competent new God to lead us to a better future ?

I am ready to elect a new God

At the risk of pulling a Feuerbach, people have been imagining God in their own image since time immemorial.
Yes. It all makes so much more sense, while still leaving room for meaningful faith, when you see God as the way people in different times and places bring order and meaning to their lives, both individually and in community.

I am one who thinks you can have meaningful faith and bring order and meaning to your lives without depending upon organized religion and an imaginary God who dictates how to have meaningful faith.

I agree with that. But I also think one can get to that place through religious faith, while also acknowledging religion can be used to facilitate and enable the worst impulses of human nature.
